This is a genuine resort , unlike many who describe themselves as such , but are really just homestays . Lagoon Paradise obviously aspires to maintain a good standard. It is far enough along the beach to be away from the older grubbier parts of town , but is only a 300 LKR ride from town .. Restaurant is good and there are plenty of other dining choices within walking distance along the beach .

The place was great. The owner, Mrs. Pr****, was fantastic and the food was beyond compare. My brother and I got back late one evening (from a safari she had arranged) and she made us the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Definitely recommend it.

Our host was exemplary in showing us the local area. We had a deeply moving experience at both Kataragama and Tissamaharama. Pradath is an excellent resource for All things Sri Lanka. The accommodations are first rate. Big comfortable bed. Modern shower and tub. A/C and Wi-fi work great. Excellent meals prepared. It is the perfect spot to retreat in the evening. We heartily recommend it and will hopefully return.

Location unbelievable on the beach. Beautiful bay, nice sandy beach. Nice pool. Amazing chef (Brayan) who will cook any fish dish you wish. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.

I loved the staff honestly they were super friendly with my daughter and me… My daughter was very comfortable with davinda. She became good friends with the surf instructor Kyle and loved the surfing experience she had with him making it one of the most wonderful experiences she had … The chef was extraordinary there making sure I tried authentic Sri Lankan food … Over all I’m definitely visiting them again when coming to Sri Lanka … The resort was out of this world honestly…

I could not expect more from a hotel. This hotel just got 4 Large room but everything is extraordinary here. Welcome drink is a fresh king coconut drink for each one of us and we are the only guests here, it is like the whole villa is just for us, nice staff, wonderful outdoor breakfast, large room space, quite environment, beautiful scenery, clean swimming pool... I am sure to come again.

Nice place nice views excellent food

We're a New Zealand family of four living in the UAE and stayed for eight nights in mid October. We had a fantastic holiday and would happily return. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the traditional Sri Lankan welcome dance was a lovely touch. All rooms face the ocean. Our spacious rooms had great views of the beach and pools, comfortable beds, good bathrooms and excellent air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety, fresh fruit, juices, an omelette station, French...

We loved our stay at Handun Villas. We found that the location and beach were easy to access and that the staff at the Villa were very accommodating and friendly.

Staff were very attentive, the view was fantastic and the food delicious.

Beautiful property-great massages and service. Talalla is a nice lovely clean long beach to stroll down. Stayed in an oceanfront bungalow which was fabulous but the mosquitos are NO JOKE so make sure to tuck your net in tight use repellent and light the coil! My only complaint was my fan like barely worked so was super hot at night as the wind died down but asked the staff for an extra floor fan which they happily provided. Food and drinks were excellent as well. Would highly recommend!
