"Perfect stay before boarding our plane"

"I hate to give bad reviews! But sorry, this is not a 4-star hotel. The room was dirty, and they didn't clean it until you went and told them the towels were stained, which I didn’t do. I just got out of the shower and grabbed a towel, but it was stained. The room was dirty. The carpet had a dirt stain, and the situation was horrible. If you really have to be in that area, yeah, that’s a great hotel for a few nights, like one, max two. There is no safe, no closet, and no mini bar, so I don’t...

"The hotel and location are fine. Not having any hot water wasn't. I arrived at the hotel after travelling in the evening. I went to take a shower after traveling but there was only cold water. Staff downstairs more interested in their phone screen than working"

"Not cheap but worth it"

"On arrival they told me we couldn't dine there that night. I pointed out that I didn't travel hours to a remote hotel just to sleep there. I asked to see the manager and was about to demand a refund when they decided I could be squeezed in. This was at 3 PM not last minute (dinner was set for 7.30 pm), The receptionist was initially unhelpful and initially said we could eat in the bar. She also claimed the menu was the same (it was not). A terrible first impression and I was tempted to just...

"Stayed in one of the VIP rooms. However, wasn't one with the jacuzzi which seemed a little misleading based on the description. Arrived at the spa for them to have no record of us and waited for them to sort it out which considering the paying for club access is kind of a mood killer. That said the spa is nice and the treatment was fantastic. One of the upstairs shower rooms has mould on the wall which again isn't acceptable. However the venue is lovely. Breakfast was amazing, with lovely...

"The staff in the restaurant were very unhelpful and a tad miserable. They made no effort. The breakfast food was ok but nothing more. I couldn’t locate gluten free bread options nor could I find a member of staff to help. I had to ask for cutlery when I chose what food I could. The service was unimpressive. However, I attended a wedding the day before and the food was very good indeed - gf was catered for brilliantly which I why I have given it a 3 star rating."

"The room was clean but very tired and needs a revamp. breakfast was okay but the usual heated up fayre"

"I had booked our Oct room in the summer. I had booked a room with 2 beds, but when we checked in and went to the room it looked like they just threw a room together (small room with queen bed and a sofa couch shoved in). It didnt leave a lot of room. When you book a specific room and pay the listed price for said room you should not feel like a last minute, we have to put you somewhere guest."

"Great stopover hotel for Stansted Airport"

"Great stay. Thank you"

"Room was clean but whole floor smelt of cigarette smoke. It’s a shame because the rooms are letting down the hotel as the rest of the hotel is very nice and it could be a top spot to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were stunning! Food was also great but more on the expensive side. I had the burger on the menu (£18) it did come with chips and was tasty! Good place to stay if you want a short stay but it could do with some TLC"

"Quiet, clean everything I needed. And the bed was very comfy!"

"Everything about this property was terrible. Not a safe neighborhood, very dirty, no updates. Worst was their shower, only hot burning water. I couldn’t take a shower."
