"Check in staff was excellent. The common areas were visibly dirty - not vacuumed/smudged on surfaces/food and drinks left on tables and chairs. Our room was terrible - very small and smelly. Was not serviced either."

"Great location, fantastic sunrise viewing from the front porch. Wi-fi is weak or non- existent in rooms but I would assume most people choose this place for the quiet."

"Second stay here and it was wonderful again. Easy walk to the high street shops and pubs, easy parking, very helpful and friendly staff!"

"The room was lovely, clean and had a very comfortable bed. Wifi was not working. The sink was blocked. No heating was working in the room. The phone was not working to call reception about problems. Overpriced for what we received. I was planning to book a couple of weeks later in the year for work, but without wifi I wouldn't be able to. The response I received was that it's a big place to provide wifi for every room. I've stayed in better hotels for less cost."

"Beautiful spot on the River Ness; well maintained hotel in an old victorian. Staff was helpful, breakfast buffet very convenient for early risers. Enjoyed our stay!"

"I spent 6 nights at Columba, staggered around tours including a 2 night tour. If I hadn't have prepaid, I would've moved to another hotel. The Columba has certainly seem better days and is generally run down, dirty and largely defective. Some staff were helpful when things didnt work, others flatly were not. I had breakfast only on my last day and it was possibly the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. I will not return to that hotel under any circumstances."

"Staff, Breakfast"

"Bit dated but charming. Staff were lovely and it was fun to meet some locals. Good food on a cold, rainy night."

"Situation was great but parking at hotel wasn't great. Only a few spaces and was very tight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very outdated. No air conditioning and one of the plug sockets didn't work."

"This was by far our favorite stay in Scotland. The property is gorgeous, the staff is amazing, and the food was excellent! I was so sad to leave, it was the highlight of our trip."

"I stayed here four years ago. Incident realize that until I arrived for the 2nd time. Very good place glad I made the mistake."

"Absolutely stunning place!!! The rooms are huge, the property itself is simply breath taking. Staff are the best!!! A must-stay when visiting the highlands."

"Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel. Nous y étions début octobre. Les photos ne représentent pas du tout son état. Expédia a la responsabilité de s'assurer que les photos représentent bien les hôtels, ce qui n'est pas le cas. Très décevant. Le personnel était sympathique et a répondu à nos besoins, mais l'hôtel aurait besoin de rénovations majeures dans les chambres et aires communes. Sans compter les tapis tâchés et mobiliers désuets ou carrément brisé et douches brisées."
