"There were several police officers at the hotel one morning. There was an ambulance, police motorcyles, and several cars. They were situated in our hallway, pretty much outside our door. It was worrying. Unfortunately, we were not informed as to why? Once asked, there was a death but not suspicious. There is no safe in the room. We had $200, 4 $50.00 bills go missing from our room. We did not report it since we thought maybe we tucked it in somewhere. However, we are certain, the money went...

"Upon arrival, there was nowhere to park, even on the street, so I phoned up to be told the location of the car park - Cnr York & Parramatta Rd BTW! The staff were all very friendly and helpful though, and I was told explicitly no smoking in my room. At dinner, I nearly took my eye out, lifting myself up on a high stool and hitting my head on the corner of a high narrow shelf. Lower tables here would be much safer! My meal was great! There was a 21st on, so it was very noisy in the bar, but...

"The room was very old and dingy, with an old metal framed bed and dust covering the tops of everything and tiles. The bathroom had what I would call a convienent suicide rope and hooks. Not ideal, nothing like the photos shown. It was fine for a night but would not come back again. Staff were quite ok, parking is really tight. The sheets seemed clean but the pillows were terrible"

"The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Everything we needed for a short stay was provided like iron and board, hairdryer, coffee/, bottled water, soaps and lotions! Being able to have dinner was a huge plus, the food was good and the staff efficient and friendly! All in all it was a good stay. "

"It was good. What you would expect from a hostel. I did not see any plates or utensils available I was only there for one night so I just used my own but did not see anything written about getting it from the front desk but other people seemed to have utensils from the front desk. They also have signs that they will kick you out if you do not wash your dishes immediately so there was not a pile up of dishes - but the dishes seemed like they were half washed. Nothing new for hostels. "

"Iona was an amazing host. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable during some very hot Sydney weather. The house is excellent and only a short walk to busses and ferries into the CBD. Iona's restaurant recommendation was excellent. Thanks for a great holiday."
