"Staff was great. Japanese breakfast was very good."

"This was my favourite hotel so far on my trip. Perfect location, right at the midpoint from The train station and the geisha district, with the markets just a few feet away. This hotel was clean, with friendly staff and great amenities. They even offer a welcome drink! I would definitely stay there again."

"Excellent location - close to the castle, gardens and fish market as well as the loop bus service. Peaceful and restful hotel, spacious and comfortable room. My only complaint was that the LED light for the air con was way too bright at night."

"Absolutely spotless and conveniently located right next to train station."

"The room is standard tatami with a double bed (mattress, no platform or bed frame). It's about 100 sq ft with a table and bench, stool and desk area. The Onsen is quite nice, clean, and not too crowded. It could be the shoulder season. Breakfast in the hotel is a must. Huge buffet spread with a lot of local small dishes, make your own donburi bowls, and fresh made tempura. There's so many things to try. I try to have breakfast around 7 to avoid the crowd. Late night they offer light ramen...

"Hyatt House is a great hotel in an extremely convenient location near the train station, restaurants and shops. The two bedroom apartment (a suite with kitchen and twin bedroom linked to a king room) was very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped but dishwashing tablets in the room, a dish rack and higher temperature water from the sink would help its functionality. No breakfast is served at the hotel but there are food outlets, convenience stores and supermarket in the building and nearby....

"Clean room and comfortable temps with AC."

"Very crowded. The lobby is small and is used for multi-purposes such as breakfast buffets, incoming and outgoing guests in the same space. We found a dirty sock under bed!!"
