On the plus side, it's a beautifully situated property, very nicely decorated, with tasty breakfast and good, caring service with a smile. On the minus side, there is no noise insulation in the room at all, you will get very loud environmental noises leech into the room from outside all day and night. Besides the long steps up to our room, this was a very pleasant stay for my sisters and I. The owner was very nice and welcomed us. The property has such a beautiful view. The property itself is very cozy sitting on a hill. Every morning breakfast is served, fresh eggs, delicious toast, juice and tea. Few things were super impressive as follows: 1) All the staffs were so helpful, welcoming and always there for us when we needed. 2) If you prefer something that gives you a traditional vibes apart from a concrete high rise building this place is highly recommended. 3) The entire place was neat and clean along with worthy prices. Besides these nothing was found by me which is problematic or annoying. Long story short,I liked staying there.

It's a brand new hotel when I visit the hotel. I was amazed by the facilities and the overall quality of my room when it's compared to it's price tag. Jack tree lodge is a nice place to stay, the owner is very nice and the staff too, we felt home. They offered breakfast every morning. The location is a 15 minutes walk from the city which was better for us. The rooms have a nice view. The only disadvantage in Kandy is that almost everything closes around 10 pm so nothing much to do or places to eat.

This is a lovely venue and a beautiful town. We had two nights here. The first was in a large family room in the basement, which was a little bit musty. But it was spacious and I appreciated that. The next night we moved upstairs to two large rooms with en suite. They were much more comfortable and lovely views. The breakfast was very nice and generous. The staff were very helpful.

A good location with a beautiful view . Rooms are big and clean. The food is very good. The showers are the best ( good hot water pressure) .The hotel is situated only a few meteres from lake and kandy city centre . joseph and kumari ( owners) are very kindhearted and they really take good care of there guests.

Pearl was a great little place on the side of the mountain near the train station in Kandy. The property is clean, quiet and safe and the sitting area is a place where you could zone out and spend hours reading or just enjoying the view. it is a short walk down to the main streets of Kandy where local restaurants and cafes etc are everywhere. The manager and his wife are very helpful and serve a great breakfast. Be sure you know how you are getting here. Tuktuk or walking WITH google maps...

Very friendly staff; beautiful and clean hotel; great view

Had an amazing time ! Our trip had a very rocky start but the couple who owns the place were soo homely and treated us like their own daughters. We had an extremely good time, and we would love to stay with them again any time we ever visit ! Definitely recommend and will make your trip to Sri Lanka 1000x better.

The location is convenient and there are frequent buses to the nearby bus stop, so transportation is stress-free. The owner and staff speak English well and are very kind. They provided me with maps to show me many tourist spots and delicious restaurants, and assisted me in making my stay more fulfilling.
