"An old school travel hotel with a nice onsen. This was a great jumping off spot to see Lake Mashu observatory, drive down to Sunayu Onsen and dig your own onsen, etc. Staff were friendly, breakfast was traditional Japanese breakfast. Overall, nice and easy stay."

"A very comfortable place to stay while exploring the area. The hotel is quite new, modern, clean, and well appointed. The lounge with free drinks is a great place to process the day’s adventures while enjoying a local beer or sake. The staff are incredibly helpful, kind, and charming. I look forward to returning!"

"The hotel was typical rural Japanese, the showers are shared in the onsen area (no en suite). Breakfast was served to you but was really typical Japanese (don't expect western food here)."

"Very charming spot! But, know a few things before you go. Stop at Lawsons or 7 and stock up on snacks because there is not a thing nearby. The restaurants aren't 4 minutes away they're 15 by car. We had a problem with the fridge and reached out to the property manager via this site and heard nothing. "
