"We stayed here to celebrate my brother’s 50th birthday. The location was ideal. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was nice. Our niggles.. upon checking in the receptionist was rather moody, there was no fridge in the room (which we found odd) and the aircon would switch off during the night and we’d wake up needing to put it back on again. "

"The location of the property is excellent just tucked off the royal mile.I had asked for a quiet room and did indeed get one.Rooms are quirky as in line with Virgin style but comfortable and clean.Staff were all friendly and breakfast was very nice."

"The view from my window of the waterfront was beautiful, my room was ready early so the wonderful lady at the welcome desk checked me in early. The staff were all so polite, warm & welcoming & the room was decorated nicely. TV hooked up to my phone for movie in bed & the bathroom was stunning. Great visit I’ll definitely be back. "

Unfortunately not too walkable to locations we were interested (Edinburgh Castle is about a 20-25 min walk, and if you want to walk the Royal Mile, it's past that), but not a terrible inconvenience, just something to keep in mind if you'd like a hotel close to those locations.
