Overall a beautiful hotel at the top of a hill, easy walking distance to the town, not far from Sun Plaza where we took the train to cable car station. Just don't go to the peak on a public holiday as the queue is horrendous. We waited 5 hours just to get to the top!"

"DO NOT STAY HERE. We were hoping for a resort-style place to unwind for a day before we travelled to Sapa. We arrived at 6am hoping for an early check-in. We paid NZD90 for a night and were charged USD80 (NZD120) to check in early. Breakfast was sparse and tastes awful - this place had the worst selection we have encountered so far. The place feels eerie, like you're in a horror movie. Everything smells like cigarette smoke. The only other guests we saw were what looked like Chinese high rollers...

"Watch out when booking this complex as they give you a room in their 2nd complex behind the front one so no view etc. Quite deceiving. The pool is a waste of time, no where to put your towel, no atmosphere & very cold. Would not waste my time staying out of the centre to stay here when better options for much cheaper."
