"Overall, my stay at the hotel was just okay, but several issues made the experience disappointing. - The hallway from the lobby to the studio was dull, dark, and uncomfortably hot. - The lighting inside the room was too dim. - The air conditioning was not cooling properly. - The TV remote did not work. - One of the stove knobs was broken. - The front desk staff were rude, unhelpful, and lacked basic customer service skills. The hotel could use better maintenance, improved lighting, and more...

"The room was really nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had nice choices. The only problem I seen was the staff really wasn’t all that friendly. I would still highly recommend."

"This is an older property in a fishing town. It was quiet and clean. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The pool was refreshing after a hot morning of fishing."

"It was a beautiful place to stay right there on the bay. Paula and staff were exceptional. My wife and I really enjoyed our time there at the peaceful pelican."

"Love staying here"

"I don’t usually write reviews but this place was horrible. We stayed one night and there were 2 huge cockroaches on our room. And if those weren’t enough one got in my car as we were leaving. On top of that the ice machine doesn’t work. The pool was the only nice thing about our stay, I would never stay here again!"

"Everything was good but the pool was very dirty"

"The staff at this place is the best staff of any hotel I have ever stayed at. We were tired of the travel but since the moment we walked in .Esteban made it all better with his enthusiasm, smile and lightness . On Day 2 we had a little issue with our key and the maintenance man let us in our room and took care of the issue himself and brought us our keys fixed . We were literally treated like royalty. It didn’t end here. We had a 2 day family event so we probably took about 7 or 8 rooms and...

"The properties was clean the home was clean. The pier was nice we caught a couple of nice slot Reds and allot of other species of fish. The host was awesome and responded to any questions very quickly. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back. And make sure to be out there early morning for that sunrise. It is beautiful."

"One of the cleanest and nicest places we have stayed in the area"

"Beautiful renovated condo with great deck and views of the ocean! Well appointed and this beach condo did not disappoint! Thank you for making our 20th Annual Girls Beach an amazing and comfortable week!"

"The first thing i noticed was the front deck when you walk upstairs, felt like it was going to collapse. We unloaded our stuff then left until later that night. Well the bedroom was full of bugs in the ceiling and walls but only in the bedroom. We had to sleep in living room. In the morning we left and we still had another night. Host did t refund anything and gave excuses for the bugs. Kept saying it's because we are in Matagorda by the beach. Well my brother was staying for houses down and he...
