"Located in a picturesque part of town on the seafront, well away from the cruise ship port. Very convenient for local restaurants and amenities, all within easy walking distance. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds very comfortable. If we have a criticism it is that the curtains and not black outs, so the midnight sun in June is disruptive to a good nights sleep. The restaurant is excellent, something we`ve noted at all the Thon restaurants we`ve stayed in."

"Property is a bus, ferry or taxi ride away from the main town, so location may put some people off if they don`t have a car. We had not stayed in a Thon hotel before but it was a revelation. At first glance it looks like a UK Premiere Inn, but looks are deceiving. The main building itself is a converted warehouse on the seafront, which gives it character, and the sun deck overlooking the sea is great. Of particular note is the restaurant, the food was excellent - deservedly rated in local guides as one of the best restaurants in town. The Halibut was sublime. "

"Easiest check in with codes sent to your phone or email. Internet was good, streaming and casting from phone to TV. The fact that there was a washer and dryer was a blessing, you can only do small loads, but I'll take anything when traveling with a small child. Kitchen was well stocked and all in all so comfortable and cozy. The location is so central and one block from the main shopping strip and restaurants nearby. Parking was fine, there's a garage around the corner by the Pub (Smutthullet) or you can park on the street from 4pm to 8am for free."

"Such an incredible hotel! Amazing views from our patios and then you walk around the corner and the views are even better! Great dinner, solid breakfast. Access to laundry at night SAVED us!!!! Only hotel in 10 days with a laundry option. "

"What I like: excellent breakfast (probably one of the best in my years of travel), cleanliness, welcoming staff at the reception, central location (very close to the Byrampen Viewpoint and the bridge) Paid parking in the same building as the hotel (pay at the automat machine inside the parking lot, NOK 250 per 24 hours) Things that could be better: NOT black out curtain"
