"We chose this hotel because it had good reviews and is within walking distance of the Santa Fe plaza. Everything was fine, but we were underwhelmed for a few reasons. We had booked a room with a poolside view through Hotels.com. We were given a parking lot view. Our sense was that this is their "third party reservation" room. Three times, housekeeping knocked and immediately entered without waiting for a response - once when my husband was sitting on the toilet. Our room did not include a...

"The hotel is very well located and has a charm about it. However, it seems a bit rundown. The blow dryer in my room did not work. I asked for an additional one and it only worked intermittently. Desk staff was only marginal. Not particularly knowledgeable or friendly. I have stayed at Santa Fe Inn and Motel (which is just north of Hotel Santa Fe) and it is really a better place to stay. It was unavailable for this stay so that is why I stayed at Hotel Santa Fe. Price was reasonable."
