"The place was clean, and very nicely furnished. While there is no carpark on site, there are nearby carparks that are inexpensive.
The bathtub was a little slow to fill, but could maintain water at a very high temperature.
The Nakata hangers they provided were very beautiful and I decided to buy a set for myself when I returned to Tokyo."

"ocean front, great view. The only thing is that the bathroom is like 2 or 3 mins walk from the actual room But they have body wash, shampoo and conditioner there. Its dark at night which makes it scary when youre staying by yourself. The room itself is clean. I would definitely stay here again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"It’s just beautiful. They have a shuttle to the ski areas that aren’t walkable. Free shuttle from and to the train station. They were very friendly and helped me set up my luggage transportation to the next ski location. "

"Very spacious and clean though relatively not a modern property. Ample amenities and kitchenware. Ideal for a large group and it’s very close to the resorts. "

"I was arriving in Niigata by ferry, and so I picked this place because it was close to the port. HOWEVER, there are multiple places where ferries dock, and my ferry ended up at a dock farther away. I ended up needing to take a taxi to the hotel.
The view is phenomenal and the room was wonderful. The Chinese restaurant was very good. There was also a gift shop that was great. I had a lot of work I needed to do that kept me in the hotel, so I didn't check to see how easy it would have been to get around the city, though I did need another 10-minute taxi to get to the train station.
But I really loved the room as one of the best during my travels, and would stay again if I get the chance."
"APA is still a business hotel so the room size is going to be small. Good thing is that it is luxurious in terms of presentation so in a way you will feel the money is well spent.
As per APA standard, all the amenities, switches and luggage space (under the bed) is all well planned. Just having the room to sleep this is more than enough.
Key thing to note is that the lift will be full of people from 15 minutes before and after the check out time at 10am so don't leave it too late to check out.
The other nice amenity is the public baths. Enjoy the warm 40 degree C water to ease your tired muscles after a day of walking and exploring. I don't know I miss it until I got to APA Ueno where it does not have a public bath so enjoy it while you can.
Personally I have skipped the breakfast at APA. It is not expensive but after experiencing the other APA's breakfast, I think I can do better at the nearby Cafe."
"The hotel is just a short walk from the station on the other side of the river. If you are unable to work, as we were due to an injury to my wife's knee, there were always taxis to take you wherever you wanted to go.
This is a luxury hotel and the standard matches that. Staff always very welcoming and helpful, and offered my wife a wheel chair for use in the hotel if she needed it.
I would have no hesitation in going back to the hotel again.
Also of note is that this hotel is an evacuation centre in the event of a tsunami, so a safe place to stay."
"A lovely Japanese style accomodation. Refreshing to see that shoes are off limits at the property and they provide good lockers for the shoes. Private baths and onsens are available for a soak after a day out to explore. Breakfast is good too though the timings of breakfast are a tad early but best way to start the day ! :)"
"We happened to choose the Japanese style room for our family of four - it was amazing! one tatami room with the four futons, and another slightly smaller with a low table to sit around. A long hallway ran along the two rooms with the sink and plenty of space to store toiletries and change, and then the shower/Japanese bath at the end of the hall.
Coffee and tea supplies were there in the room, along with typical Japanese amenities like yukata and slippers.
We also signed up for the breakfast buffet each day, and it also was wonderful, with a wide selection of Japanese and western food items. Waffles and omelettes (by special order) were included. The staff in the eating area and the front desk staff were very courteous and helpful.
The hotel also had a small laundry room with two small washers and dryers which we used.
The hotel location is pretty decent. It's about a ten minute walk from Niigata station, maybe fifteen walking with suitcases.
After this experience, this will definitely be the place we stay in Niigata in the future - and I recommend the Japanese style room over the Western style rooms."
"Position is convenient for train and restaurants. Onsen area was fabulous alternating temperature between the 2 pools each day. All the personal care items you need. Microwave on each floor is handy. There was at least 1 english speaking staff on front counter at all times.
Dinner a little expensive but food was nice."
