"The location of this hotel was excellent. RIght on the main street by the water and next to the high street. The hotel itself was "interesting". There was no lobby or restaurant open and there wasn't always someone at the front desk. There is no elevator, but the female staff carried up my heavy suitcase four floors. "The hotel is very well situated for exploring the full area of the Shetland Islands. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is plenty of parking space and there is a fuel station next door and a very good fish and chip shop across the road, both of which are very useful."

"Sarah the host was lovely and we enjoyed her art/gallery and garden. Chalet was in a good position if you have a car. We didn't know you couldn't drive your car to your chalet - suitcases have to be lugged up and down steps. We would have liked some outdoor seating. Kitchen was small but good and had everything we needed. Lsundry was fine. I thought the chalets were near a beach because of the photos but they weren't."

"We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. "Great location next to Bains Beach in Lerwick.Nice conversion of former Butchers shop / blanked off window would give greater light to living area.Very well equipped and comfortable.If you have a vehicle parking can be awkward as expected.Contact with “hosts” are not the actual owners - chat lines and phone calls are via The Philippines.Booked through Shetland Stays but seemed to be tied up with this site - seems to be indiscriminate pricing.Would I return - if they’d have me - you bet I would."
