Their outsourced travel service is a weak link. Transfer from Bagdogra to hotel was disappointing with a rash driver and a small taxi with poor springs that made for a very uncomfortable trip on a bumpy road. We were promised a trip to Tsomgo lake and Baba Mandir but the driver would not go to Baba Mandir. I would look for another travel...

Sinclares Resort is such a gem! The entire property is meticulously maintained and nicely decorated with beautiful landscaping. The premium room is spacious and bedding is clean and comfortable. They provide you with a heater during winter time so the room is plenty warm. After I had to change hotels I chose to come to the Yangthang Heritage. Not only did the accept my last minute booking but also prepared a room immediately. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful with painted carvings throughout and is only a short walk to the market road. The dining was very good. The true highlight of my stay was the service. We had an amazing 2 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a very quiet part of town near the Secretariat building and across the street from the former king’s palace complex. We were told that the building was a guest house for royal guests. The building has 5 floors and each floor has 4-5 rooms, all with a view of the mountains. We stayed at the top floor with access to the terrace. Be aware that there is no elevator. The staff was very friendly and nice. There are no eating places nearby...

The lobby is really beautiful with breath taking view of d valley and d hills. Hotel staff is good. There continental food is not good. But d Indian cuisine is tasty. One hurdle is its distance from d main town. So one should be ready to shell out Rs. 400 every time they want to make a round trip to MY road and back. The hotel hardly provides its own car for d same. Overall if u want to take fresh air and keep to d serenity then this is one of d best place to stay.
