"Wonderful stay at this 18-room boutique hotel. The staff was great and everyone was so friendly. We had numerous conversations with the Assistant Manager Mane and the Manager as well as all of the other staff persons. The hotel has a great location and the rooms felt luxurious. We stayed 7 nights which is a leisurely way to visit Valletta and Gozo. They provide a free wine nightly for hotel guests on their lovely rooftop terrace. "

"An absolutely stunning old building in such a perfect area for our first visit to Malta. We stayed in Jean as it was our anniversary celebration and loved having the bathtub in the room to relax in after long days walking up and down the steps in the city. The hotel was a true gem of a find and the area itself was so much nicer to stay in than Valetta in our opinion."

"The fire escape route from room 501 takes you into a spiral stone staircase which is very narrow, dark in places and blocked near the bottom by bags of rubbish. This was reported to the hotel Guest Relations on the day of arrival but when checked the next few days, nothing had changed. This is a death trap for anybody who uses this fire escape route as per the instructions in the room folder and the fire escape plan in the room and corridor outside the room. "Zimmer ist modern eingerichtet, 2 Kritikpunkte: Duschvorhang nicht sehr sinnvoll, das Wasser verteilt sich im Ganzen Bad, eine Wand wäre besser. Nur 1 Fenster im ganzen Zimmer und das nur zu einem Innenhof, keine Frischluftzufuhr "

"We loved the hotel - it was a short walk from Valetta proper, and we loved being in a residential neighborhood instead of a touristy one. The room was spacious and inviting, and suited us well for a four-night stay. The staff was terrific. (One note to owner: PLEASE update the lighting in the bathroom!)"

"The Barrister is in a central location within a short walk of most of the bars, restaurants and sights of Valletta. It's not fully serviced but staff are available at all times. Rooms have tea and coffee making, water and soft drinks included. Breakfast has a good selection of fruit, cereals, cold meats and cheeses, bread and pastries, and drinks are prepared to order. "Hotel was amazing. Very clean. Staff very friendly and knowledgable of the area and what to go and visit. Hotel in an excellent position for all the shops / restaurants and attractions all within walking distance but at the same time not too crowded. Would definately stay here again and highly recommend to others"
