"Fantastic hotel! Easy walk from the train station, and to other things that you would need to get to like eating and the university. Lovely lobby, they had a workout room which I didn't use but that's a nice extra, and the room itself is very nice. I would definitely stay again"

"Had a slow drain on the shower, due to the way the shower isn’t a tray this meant water flooded the rest of the bathroom. Reported to be reception and this wasn’t fixed. Had to use a towel wedged against the shower door and then turn the water down. Asked for more milk sachets (two for a family room with 4 isn’t enough) at reception and got directed to the bar, had a huge wait whilst they faffed around serving just one person - god help anyone if ordering a round then! A bit unclear at...

"Room was to small for 3 people. Breakfast was terrible"

"Lovely hotel. In a fantastic location right by the entrance of Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Worth paying the extra for a room at the back looking out over the Maned Wolves and Lar Gibbons. We loved watching the animals from our room. Beds were comfy, shower was great and the toiletries smelt lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Was also a reasonable price unlike other zoo hotels which can cost £1000s. (We went midweek in September when the schools have...

"great ground floor bedroom, superb breakfast, nice idea to have biscuits available staff seemed unsure of how to check bookings"

"The hotel is rundown. It looks like it has been painted by children; messy paint work, makeshift cupboards. I got my head three times on a sharp corner at tea making shelf. Bed was comfortable shower wasn’t good at all. Staff were all very nice."

"My second stay at this property in the last two years. Lilly at the front desk is an absolute rock star!!"

"It's fit for purpose. If you want a simple place to rest your head during the night, it's sufficient. Additional hangers for clothes would be beneficial."

"I was attending a meeting held at Bramall Lane next door, so this was very convenient. All fine - no problems, good breakfast, comfortable room."

"All good.."

"Pleasant stay …very good room…helpful staff……think could upgrade non cooked breakfast options a little …not too onerous to offer good bread, jams or yoghurt or fruit but evening meals good"
