"Although the staff were reasonably nice, the building is beautiful, and the room had heating, we experienced several disappointing things. We are not going back. The location: The neighborhood was very loud (this was a Friday night), and it is not particularly easy to reach the port. "Travelled with my partner for a five-night stay. Overall, it was a decent stay. The location is excellent and within walking distance of most places. However, front-facing rooms can be noisy due to constant car horns, so it may be worth requesting a room on the opposite side. The room was a good size, housekeeping kept it clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, the air conditioning was poor and never got particularly cold, even on the lowest setting. The hotel feels a little dated and could benefit from refurbishment. Some fittings were loose, paint was peeling in places, the shower head was dirty, and the bathtub was in need of a deep clean. Unfortunately, the women's steam room was out of order throughout our stay, leaving only the sauna available. Both facilities are very small, fitting only two people comfortably, and must be booked around 45 minutes in advance. Our most disappointing experience was on the final night. Reception advised my partner to join me in the men's steam room as the women's was still unavailable. We called ahead to ensure it was ready, but another guest entered and became angry, claiming he had been there first. Although I explained I rang Reception, he continued shouting, so we chose to leave rather than risk an argument and spoiling our holiday. Breakfast was average and could benefit from more hot options. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, a decent hotel, but I would probably stay elsewhere next time."
