"The carpet in the room is stained, the drawers were extremely hard to close. The furniture is outdated and shabby. However, the bed was comfortable. The bedding and bathroom was clean and the towels were nice. Also, it's a great location. "

"Stunning Lobby and bar. Check in experience was satisfactory. Room was small with small double bed. Cocktails at the bar were great however the bar experience was disappointing. Along with other residents we had to wait at least 45 minutes in between drinks to be served again at one point having asked for more drinks the server disappeared and forgot us…. we were still expected to pay13.5% service charge. Frustration was clear amongst the people around us. The bar was understaffed and the frustration with this was also apparent amongst them! We gave our feedback on check out about the bar experience, the team member was sympathetic but advised that we should have reported this to the bar staff at the time. This was not appropriate to do at the time as it was difficult enough getting a drink let alone trying to give feedback or refusing to pay a service charge.We were offered a voucher however we were leaving at that moment so declined the offer and just left our feed back. "Great location for us to enjoy our city/theatre weekend - with plenty of opportunity to explore the local area. Staff were friendly and polite at every interaction. Nice lobby, with plenty of seating, a cafe and access to bars and restaurants on that level. Our room was on the 4th floor at the rear of the hotel. It was warm in the room and when we reported it, we were happy it was sorted straight away. Extra double glazing ensured we never heard any noise from the trains passing by. While not the most luxurious room, it was light and airy, with (almost) everything we needed for our stay! Clean, fresh sheets and towels, a fridge to keep drinks cold; polite staff at every interaction. Will be back - as great base for us to explore from. Bugis Restaurant Stylish food We opted to eat here on our first night and were not disappointed. Good selection of nibbles, starters, mains and desserts. I opted for the papaya salad - crisp and fresh with a lightly spicy marinade, and husband had crispy prawns, followed by beef rendang for me, and nasi goreng for husband. We finished off with banana fritters and mango cheesecake. All beautifully presented, very enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and while we were there, enjoyed a bottle of wine to finish it all off. The Green Stag A bargain is always good - and half price drinks are great! We enjoyed a couple of drinks before our dinner in the relaxed atmosphere of this 'pub' in the hotel. Again, the staff were friendly. "
