"We accidentally got locked out of our camper and by 10 pm realized we were not getting back in until the morning. We booked online, walked to the hotel, they sent someone to get us checked in so we were able to sleep somewhere warm."

"This place was adequate for our two-night stay. Strong backpacker vibe, with free breakfast (waffles, cereal, toast) and evening soup. Helpful staff. The location was great. The room itself was dated and pretty small. I'd say this is a case of you get what you pay for. It was very affordable and great if you're looking to connect with other travelers, but I think I would personally spring for a place a bit more modern with more amenities next time. "

"The Heartland Hotel was a good place to stay at after visiting the glaciers on the way to Queenstown. The hotel was comfortable and the restaurant and bar were very convenient on site, although you have to walk outside from your room to get to it. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is older but was still well kept and the room was clean and comfortable. Parking was right outside to room. "
