"Allen in the restaurant is great."

"Carpet, refrigerator table tops dirty. Pump shampoo and hand soap empty. Photo on Expedia must have been taken 30 years ago. Front office dirty windows dusty. Entire unit should be totally rehabilitated or torn down"

"The room was VERY small, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is not an attendant or any staff onsite. I had a bit of trouble getting the pet registration taken care of since I booked through a 3rd party. We asked for a 1st floor room since there's not an elevator. When we received our check-in information, we were given a room on the 2nd floor. If we only had to carry backpacks, it might have been fine. However, we had large cases, so it was difficult to drag them up the stairs....

"Laptop got stolen from the room"

"We enjoyed our stay at the historic Latchis Hotel. You really get the feeling of stepping back in time. The staff were very helpful and provided recommendations on places to eat besides just checking us in. The room was fine and the working record player with records was a nice touch. Parking is about a half block away behind the hotel. Make sure you see the historic Latchis Theater’s main room. It is really amazing and will definitely take you back in time."

"X Did not like the very very small room. No TV, everything was dated"

"The property was beautifully done, with very inviting public spaces/game rooms and sophisticated decor in the room. The driveway was not obvious from the road and appeared to be a drop-down, so was easily missed. The bathroom was small but well organized. Overall really liked the property."

"Room was recently remodeled except for the disgusting old carpet. Carpet was sticky and gross. White towels that needed to be bleached. They were badly stained. Their pillows were small. I requested additional pillows. They replied with “you have 6 and that should be enough “ with resistance they gave me 1 more. Said that was all they have. I would not recommend this location"

"We loved this place! It was our first visit but oh so quaint. Loved the restaurant, fireplace in the room and all the wonderful siting areas around the property. It is a great place to recharge and watch the beautiful surroundings."

"DO NOT GO TO THE COVERED BRIDGE INN! The person at the entrance was not friendly at all. When we entered the hallway to go up to the second floor, the carpet was covered in chips and was really dirty. The bed sheets in the room were dirty, with several hairs at the foot of the bed. There was an insect on the carpet. The bathroom counter had not been cleaned, there was a hair on the toilet seat, and the bath towels looked yellowed and poorly folded, among other issues. We had paid through...

"We had a one night stay recently. We were on the newly-renovated 4th floor, which was very nice. The room was very clean. We were there early, so we went to the 99 Restaurants bar that was right in front of the Comfort Inn. Check-in was easy and the staff were very pleasant. Room was very nice. We did have an issue with the television, but staff responded quickly and solved the issue. The free breakfast in the morning was very nice. Pancakes, waffles (with fruit toppings & syrup),...

"The deadbolt lock was very difficult to work. The linoleum floor in the main body of the room may have been swept and mopped but I suspect the mop was dirty from the room before because when I get out of the shower and walked down across the room on a towel, it came out, filthy underneath where my feet had been rubbing the floor."

"Very old fashion rooms. Twin queen beds were comfortable but dated. I liked the den area were your group can get together and talk. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly."

"Nicely done up motel with 50’s vibe. Roomsize was a little bit thight for US standards. No reaction to Expedia messages though. One sided standard messages"

"The Black Mountain Inn has seen some decades...but it is well kept up with kindly staff. --Immediately off the I-91 exit, on the main road into Brattlelboro with fast food and cafes nearby. --Room as described and parking available next to it --Marvelous motel cat is part of the welcome committee --Maps and brochures as well as knowledgeable staff --Negative? The "breakfast" is actually coffee, various snack bars and pkg'd baked goods and yogurt. So, if you really need breakfast, you'll have...

"The check in process was very frustrating. I booked through Expedia and wasn’t able to access my reservations through their online booking portal. A lodge TV at gas rooms dates in the 70s should probably have staff to check in if they can’t keep up with the technology"

"Everything was even better than I expected — the room, the surroundings, and the views were all wonderful. The sauna was absolutely stunning, with beautiful design and an amazing view. I especially loved the view from the room, as well as the thoughtful touches like the card games and books provided in the room. The nearby river trails were also a great way to relax, clear my mind, and enjoy nature. The only minor downsides were that there wasn’t always someone available to help immediately if...
