Staff were excellent. Breakfast was good but didn’t have any meat included. Property should be fumigated occasionally to avoid insects like cockroaches. I did kill a small one outside my room in the corridor. My room was cleaned both days we were there and the sheets and towels were replaced both days I occupied the room. If not for the roaches, I would have graded the place excellent.

The bed was clean and the refrigerator worked but there was no water pressure in the shower! The tub pressure was sooo low I decided to use the sink to wash at. Also no meat during breakfast was a let down.

Pretty disappointed overall with our stay. The rooms (or at least the room we were in) needs updates. The carpets are old and definitely probably needed a good vacuuming. And there was an odor in the hallways that even my young daughter commented on. Breakfast was okay. Only eggs and potatoes for hot foods. Plenty of dry foods. I booked a hotel specifically with a pool. We were informed after my daughter was all ready to go swimming that the pool was not open and had been previously shut down because it hadn’t met some kind of code (which they said they are in the process of fixing). The girl working the front desk was very kind and made arrangements to let us swim at a sister hotel. So I really appreciated the hospitality with her.

This is the third time in four months I have booked an overnight stay for contractors at Quality Inn Auburn Hills – Detroit North. Unfortunately, the same problems keep occurring. On all three stays, contractors reported stained blankets and sheets, including what was described as blood, stained towels, dirty rooms, and a strong musty odor throughout the property. The furniture and interior are outdated and poorly maintained. Three similar experiences in four months cannot reasonably be dismissed as an isolated incident. We regularly use other Quality Inn locations throughout Michigan, so we understand the standards expected from the brand. This location is by far the worst we have experienced. We are not asking for luxury—just professionally clean rooms, new clean linens and towels, reasonable maintenance, proper food handling, and professional customer service. I am also concerned about reports regarding staff demeanor and whether some patrons feel they are treated differently based on ethnicity or background. Management should take those concerns seriously and ensure every guest is treated consistently and respectfully. The property's online presentation also does not appear to reflect the condition experienced in person. After three disappointing stays, we will no longer book this location. Management needs to address housekeeping, odors, linens, maintenance, staff professionalism, and guest treatment. Customers deserve the condition and service they are paying for.
