There was a misunderstanding about the number of bathrooms in our original reservation. The owners worked with us to put us in a location with ample bathrooms. Where we stayed was excellent, likely will stay there again if back in area.

Great stay

We had a group of 7 for 3 nights. This is in a good location to get to town and various launches. It had everything we needed and the outdoor space worked well for a group fish fry.

Great location, place is nice and clean, great patio area and firepit for hang out. Will return in the future. Only downfall is the bathroom. Wished there was better coverage to the shower to prevent water from leak out.

Great Host

Nice fully stocked for a fishing adventure. Even a small Blackstone grill for our ease of cooking. The small cabin stayed very warm as provided a wonderful hangout spot. Loved the additional space instead of a hotel that also saved on expenses. Will be returning at some point. Nice work Hovde properties!!

Fishing trip

I have rented this property for 3 years in a row. It suits me, my kid and my friends very well for our annual fishing trip to Devils Lake. It's easy to find, got plenty of room for parking boats and pick ups. Overall it's a nice place. If you need anything, the owners are responsive and easily accessible through a quick text. The only thing we missed this year was a grill, that we had enjoyed the previous years.

Better than expected

Just as the title says, it was better than expected. The description was spot on. It felt like home away from home and was stocked with everything you’d expect. We stayed here in early May for a fishing trip. Three ladies slept in the house, while us four guys slept in shed. The shed is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Everyone enjoyed our stay, and would come back here in a heartbeat.

Family fishing trip

The property was perfect for the 3 of us during our fishing trip to Devils Lake. It was clean and ready for use upon check-in. All amenities stated in the description were there for us to use. We would definitely stay again.

Affordable and quiet

Reservation/Check-in was a breeze. It's on a quiet street. Plenty of parking spaces, vehicles with boat trailers was not an issue. Outside outlet for charging boats. Lake access is not too far nor was the liquor/grocery store. Good place if you want to be slightly outside of Devils Lake center but near enough for a 5-10 minute drive to go and enjoy what it has to offer.

Great Stay

Rented the property for a fishing trip. Boat ramp was right across the road. Perfect for our needs. Patio and fire pit also very nice. Had a bonus room to hang out in. Definitely will stay again. They also just put the place next door up to rent. It looks brand new. Owners were top notch.

Fishing weekend with kids

Place was as described and clean. We had two adults and three children. The kids slept in the shed and we used that as our entertainment room for playing cards in the evening. Close to town and easy to get to. The owner was very responsive to our questions while staying there. Perfect for a place to sleep and eat since we were on the lake all day. Thank you!

Tons of room and much more home like then a hotel, space for the kids and the bunk house was great for movies and darts! Can’t beat being able to cook your own food and not have to go out to eat. Cost was comparable to hotels in the area maybe a tad higher, but again not having to eat out saved us way more. We already booked our next stay. Thank you!
