A perfect retreat for individuals, couples, small families, or those looking for a remote work spot, our house boasts views of the most beautiful sunsets on the pristine waters of Lake Ontario. The location offers access to plenty of activities such as world-class fishing, great restaurants, rich historical sites, smaller waterways for canoeing and kayaking, plenty of hiking trails, golf courses, wineries, distilleries, seasonal festivals, skiing, and snowshoeing. Our favorite activity is to just stay at the house, play in the water, grill, and spend time together on the deck watching boats pass and the sun set. In the winter we love to ice fish and cross country ski, then come back to the house to have cocktails around the fireplace.
Our kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, and a supply of olive oil, salt, pepper, and a starter supply of coffee and tea. A drip coffee maker, Keurig, French press, and coffee grinder are available.
The large main bedroom has a king bed, double closet, and a sliding door overlooking the water. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the sofa is a luxury sleeper full size pullout. There is a desk and office chair in the kitchen/living area.
Overlooking the water, our living room is equipped for indoor entertainment with a large Smart TV, board/card games, and an assortment of books.
From the large back deck take in the views as you grill and dine. The metal staircase will take you down 15 feet to limestone rock ledges where you can relax in provided camp chairs. We highly recommend that everyone wear water shoes as the rocks in and out of the water are slippery, we do provide a ladder for daily use to easily get into and out of water. Tread at your own risk. We provide life jackets, we require you to use them to swim; swimming is at your own risk. Additionally, across the road, there is a large lawn for games or for parking a boat/snowmobile trailer if needed. Once the sun sets, roast some s'mores at the firepit!

Whether you are looking for a calming retreat from the chaos of daily life, or for just a beautiful, easy place to stay with access to the amenities of Lake Ontario, we’d love to host you at our lakehouse, Hazel's Lookout!
***PLEASE NOTE:
1. There is NO dock nor place to anchor your boat or PWC at the house
2. Google maps will show a picture of our land across the street that has two outbuildings on it, but doesn’t show the actual house. The house is on the WATER side of the road.
3. Our water source is a shore well -- we have a sediment filter, carbon filter, and UV filter. It is your discretion whether to use it as drinking water, all I can tell you is that we sometimes do. We do NOT provide bottled water. The pump is located in the house which creates great water pressure, however it does make noise when it has to re-pressurize, this usually only lasts about a minute.
PETS -- there is a one-time $45 pet fee if you are bringing your furry friend; if excessive pet hair or pet waste is found an additional $50 cleaning fee will be applied.
