"Stay itself was mostly ok, rooms were great, but main issue was getting in the room. Check in was said to be around 4 and took them a while after that to even get in, also even before checking in had to go to the concierge desk which bombarded us with requests to go buy a timeshare. Even after the delay we were still getting asked about it. Also despite being advertised as ocean view the staff themselves told us that the info was incorrect and that was limited to 2 building/rooms on the exact opposite side of the resort."

"I loved my stay at the Marriott pompano. I found all of the staff so genuinely helpful and nice. I loved the proximity to the ocean and the pool area was gorgeous. If I had one complaint it was that they put a $200/per night hold on my credit card. It was 3 nights so with the conversion rate, it was an $850 CAD hold. That felt excessive. Just be warned. Otherwise, I loved it. "

"Room was outdated and not pretty inside . AC unit loud and almost impossible to sleep through the noise. Outdoor bar was nice and wait staff were nice and friendly . Staff not very aware of surrounding activities . The complimentary Continental Breakfast was a complete joke . In a to go box was an orange , a bagel a danish in a plastic bag , a small yogurt cup a small bottle of water and small juice container . A joke . Felt like I had an elementary school meal . Not worth the price . "

"This was a very nice studio apartment super close to the beach, restaurants and very clean. The property was well designed with new appliances, furniture and fixtures. Overall this was a huge 5 star experience for me."

"Room was very clean. My coffee maker and curtains needed repair. Pool chairs and other outside furniture very worn. Pool itself looked clean but pool area is very unattractive so I never used it. No plants or decor. Just the beating sun. I didn’t get entry instructions but someone did answer phone in middle of night and help me get in. They had sent them to Expedia but I used Hotels.com; not sure if that was the reason. There appears to never be staff on site. One has to search for public entrance to get to ocean. Not a direct walk. Both north and south about 1 block on the main drag and you can find entrances. Hotel is not near any food or shops. Ok if you have a car. Not great if you do not. Hotel located about 0.5 mi north of the main beach area with the pier. I know one room was locked out (lock broke) and waited 2 hours door get in. Another room had terrible cockroaches. I thought that I got why I paid for. Next time I will pay more to have a better location. "

"While the furnishings were old, they were well taken care of and the room was clean and the walk in shower was fantastic. The room had a mini frig. coffee maker and lots of space as well as a bistro table with two chairs which made it great to order a pizza delivered and eat in the room. While I did not use the pool as it was too cold, it did look inviting. The managers were present and friendly and if I had any need they were there to address them. I loved the direct beach access and this place is right next to a beach front park that is amazing. At the other end of the park is a number of great restaurants and shops. If I'm ever in Pompano Beach again I would stay here, it was perfect."
