Waterfront Bay House with Elevator, 350' Lighted Fishing Pier with Boat Lift.
Clean, Bright and Updated, this 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Home will make your family's vacation dreams a reality. The home will accommodate 6 adults with a Queen bed in each of the two bedrooms plus a Queen sleeper sofa in the Day Room. The rental area is located on the 3rd. floor with a fantastic view of Galveston/ Dickinson Bay. Enjoy your coffee as you watch the sun rise from the large deck on the second or third floor overlooking the waterfront. The second floor is private and no one occupies it during your rental. You are welcome to use the second floor deck for relaxing while you enjoy the cool breeze. The property features a 350 foot Lighted Pier with a fish cleaning table and running water, electricity, overhead lights at the end of the pier located on a large t-head, as well as lights that shine out into the water. There are several boat launches in the immediate area. There is a boat lift available for up to a 20 foot boat to raise it out of the water when you are not out fishing. The Home has central air and heat and the kitchen is fully furnished with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. There is a 55 inch Flat Screen TV in the living area with two smaller tvs in each of the bedrooms. Washer and dryer available in the guest bathroom for your convenience. There is also a gas grill available on the 2nd. floor deck overlooking the waterfront. The Home is located in San Leon, Tx which is on Galveston/Dickenson Bay. It is just 10 minutes away from the Kemah Boardwalk and 20 minutes from Galveston. Nasa is also a short 20 minute drive. Wi-Fi is available. There are several restaurants' nearby, Top Water Grill and Pier 6 both have excellent food and are located 10 minutes from the house.

There were a few small issues but KEN ( the host ) was wonderful. He addressed them right away which made our weekend stay even better. We were there for a fishing charter but it was canceled due to the weather. Being able to fish from the private pier at this house made things complete. Everyone in the family were extremely happy and want to stay here again.
Awesome property we really enjoyed the view and the fishing! We really appreciate the elevator it was a huge plus since I had my 86 yr old mom with me. Beautiful place we will definitely be staying here again!

The owners were so kind and accommodating for us ,the home was clean and very comfortble.We spent a week here and wish we never had to leave.There are plenty of cooking utensils and pots pans ,bowls dishes .Our stay was perfect besides the rain and wind ,we can't wait to go back
The Bayhouse is all you could wish for in a San Leon getaway. It is attractive, clean, comfortable, well-appointed, well-managed and in a good location. Janet was so helpful checking us in, and Ken, the owner, promptly answered all questions. We would love to return.
This was our 2nd time at this bay house. We love the property and surrounding areas. Restaurants and fishing are great. The elevator is awesome if you can't do stairs.

My wife and I stay for four days. It was a very nice and clean house. Elevator was a major plus!! Boat lift works great we did not have to keep it in the water over night. Fishing was great off the pier. We killed the speckle trout during the day and under the lights off the pier. The neighborhood is very quiet. I would highly recommend This property for nice getaway on the bay.
The best of three locations we experienced in San Leon area. The check-in/out instructions and process was simple, and the host was responsive and communicative throughout our stay. The living area is on the third floor and the attached elevator is an excellent addition, easing luggage and necessities transport. The interior is clean and spacious with two showers, a bit of “sea side” decor as well as contemporary amenities such as TV and plenty of seating for relaxing and a large dining table. We noticed and used newly added phone chargers which recharge at a reduced rate of speed vs direct AC plug in chargers. In the showers, plenty of hand and bath towels and shampoo/conditioners. There are motel-styled hard soap bars but do bring your own shower gel if you enjoy sudsy showers. The kitchen is well-equipped but again, bring your favorite seasoning as desired. The view from the unit/deck is refreshing, especially at sunrise. We returned to this unit as the fishing from the end of the pier was great and it was even better this time around. The pier is well-lit at night, with water supply running to its end where a fish cleaning table with sink and additional spray hose helped us to keep the area, our equipment and our hands clean. Plenty of motion activated lights around the unit at night. Overall, a well-thought out and equipped unit that suited our needs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again.
Just wanted to pass along that I really enjoyed staying at the lovely bayhouse of owners Ken and Carol in early August. They both met me at check-in at the property and were incredibly nice and hospitable. Ken really went above and beyond as a host and was always attentive and responsive when I had questions.
Ken also provides fantastic local restaurant and bait shop recommendations (Hillman’s). Ken also steered me to my top seafood meal of my 4-day stay which was the Flounder Special at Pacific Seafood. Normally, that is their special discounted dish on Fridays for 19.99, but I visited on a Saturday and they agreed to make it for me for 21.99 instead of the Friday special of 19.99, which I appreciated. This Flounder version is different than the 23 dollar Flounder option listed on their menu so I would recommend asking them if they could make the Friday Flounder special version and you won’t regret it. Yum yum!
I had a blast fishing off the very nice fishing pier. I caught lots of numbers and had tons of bites but I didn’t run into any sizable fish. I tried artificial lures but they hands down liked the bait shrimp on ice from Hillman’s bait shop the best. About an hour and a half before dark all the way until dark, I had a bite on seemingly every cast, but I wouldn’t recommend using too large of a hook because they are sneaky and will try and get the shrimp before you can react or set the hook.
All in all, I had a great time and kept the elevator in motion during my trip!
