We spent one night here and wish we had more time to spend here. It is clean, quiet, had great parking and the food was delicious. The staff was great. We had a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend.

This property is pretty unique in its location, away from "the rest of the world". You really are in nature, surrounded by nothing else than rice paddies, lake, and such a variety of birds. It is peaceful, staff are very friendly and helpful, food is excellent and will accommodate vegetarian and gluten free needs. There is nothing I can fault our experience on!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Otunna Guesthouse. We came in later then anticipated, and Dinesh, the owner, was in constant contact with us. They offered fresh passionfruit juice on arrival, and made the most delicious breakfast every morning that was probably the best spread all trip. Very welcoming and pleasant environment

We accidentally found this fabulous hotel due to sudden change of our vacation plan. Hotel is located in very calm quiet area within 10 km from Sigiriya local ticketing office. We had an unexpectedly wonderful time in the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and supportive. Hotel has two well maintained pools and beautiful restaurant. Listen people- this place is AMAZING!!! Like living in a dream, not less. It is isolated from any noise, in the nature. If we only knew, we would stay there for a week minimum! The rooms are so special that I can’t describe- beautiful, air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was really amazing. When you book a room, contact the property and book also the village tour & safari. You will get a great full day package. I will definitely go back there!

Excellent service, location and staff

This place is great. Not for it's facilities, but for the honesty, kindness and professionalism of it owner Anska. The bungalow rooms are very simple, with a/cand shower, clean an comfortable and cooectly priced. There is very good food served for breakfast and evening meals if you want them. Anska will take you in his jeep or tuc-tuc to any of the marvelous sites in the area and also do jeep safaris into the local parks to see elephants and other fauna. All at reasonable prices. We had a beautiful and peaceful stay at this property. The pool is exquisite and the rooms are so cool and beautiful. The wildlife is astounding and it was so tranquil to quietly watch it unfold around us. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well, arranging for us a trip to Lion Rock.
