The building is over 500 years old, and nothing like I've ever seen before. "Excellent hotel , four of us enjoyed an extremely pleasant seven days at the Aquila Porto. We had sixth floor beach-facing rooms - the rooms were a good size, bathroom was clean, air-conditioning a god-send, very quiet and easy to sleep at night. The beach across the road is well-kept, no problem securing sun loungers. Sea can be a bit choppy but that's not the hotel's fault! The Aquila Porto's two main selling points are (1) the food. Its not the largest buffet we'd ever seen but its by far/away the best. Great variety, all beautifully cooked, a real pleasure (2) the staff. all are extremely helpful and accommodating, service is first class. No real gripes at all - breakfast can get a bit busy, and the coffee maybe could be better, but overall a definite five star, ten out of ten experience. Highly recommended."
