Radisson Hotel Panama Canal
8/10 Good
"Not much restaurants and no shops around but canal view was nice..also hotel was nice and gave me a later checkout"

The Golden Frog Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice stay."

Gran Evenia Bijao & Convention Center
2/10 Terrible
" Bathroom sink was completely rusted, both faucets were absolutely disgusting and leaking every time we turned them on. They gave us a difficult time just to simply get shower towels. Everyday 2 days our room keys stop working and I would have to go to get them reprogrammed. On the last day they would not even give us shower towels because it was the last day. The entire resort smelt like sewage. In order to book 1 of only 3 restaurants there we had to wait in long for 2 hours in order to book which took 10 seconds. Absolutely horrible, money back should be in order "

Casa Caracol Boutique Hotel

"Beautiful room and view. "

The Westin Playa Bonita Panama
8/10 Good
"Overall, the property and staff were amazing, friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The grounds & hotel were beautiful and well-kept, and we especially enjoyed the live entertainment each night. However, some parts of the stay didn’t meet expectations. The excursions and activities booked through the property were quite expensive, and we didn’t feel they matched the value for what we paid. A recurring issue during our stay was the in-room TV, it displayed another guest’s name and room number. Despite visiting the front desk multiple times and having maintenance come by, the issue was never resolved. This was concerning since the TV shows billing details and messages.
Restaurant options were limited, and while the food was delicious, portions were small and meals pricey, often around $75 or more for two without alcohol. Most staff members spoke limited English, so communication could be tricky at times. Washcloths weren’t provided automatically, we had to request them. The pool closes when the sun sets and reopens only after morning cleaning, so swimming hours are limited. Be sure to use the mosquito wipes provided, those little things are sneaky and persistent! If you’re not fluent in Spanish, I wouldn’t recommend driving, most road signs & directions are all in Spanish, and driving customs differ from the U.S. Despite the hiccups, the service, scenery, and local charm made the trip memorable especially seeing traffic stop completely to let a sloth cross the road!"

Panama Canal Inn

"Its a quiet safe area. The staff and iwner qent way out of their way for me.
I like not having a television. They may have in other rooms IDK.
Its a quick short taxi ride in/out of Old Town.
Vwry safe residential area. Big beautiful homes and yards."

Radisson Riviera Panama
6/10 Okay
"This hotel has a great beach location. Although we couldn't go into the ocean because of jellyfish allegedly. The sea is best for surfing and water sports not so much relaxing. Pools were fine. The rooms were in need of repairs, first room we found mold and they didn't move us until the next day. Second room was better but showers were leaking, air conditioner smelt of mildew. There is only one restaurant and the food was good but the service was slow, the server had to come back many times to re-take our order. Generally staff was friendly. due to the rooms I wouldn't stay here again, I would probably rent an Air B&B in the area instead next time."

Hotel La Compania Del Valle
10/10 Excellent
"Brand new property with clean spacious rooms. Ample storage in the room and large bathroom with walk in shower and Molton brown toiletries. There was complimentary bottled water although the tap water is safe to drink, and 6 complimentary coffee pods a day. The yoga instructor was excellent and the yoga was complimentary 9am Thursday to Monday on a roof terrace on the spa. There is a roof terrace bar with amazing views of the surrounding mountains with complimentary drinks for guests each evening 5pm to 7pm which was a really nice touch. All the staff are professional and friendly. The breakfasts are excellent quality and lots of variety. The dinners in the terra vegetarian restaurant and tempo restaurants were excellent quality. We didn’t eat in fuego so can’t comment on that. The food prices are at the higher end but all great quality. We paid around $70-80 for 2 people for 2 courses each and 1 drink each. Our only criticism was the room rate included breakfast however we were charged extra ($30 for 2) for a takeout breakfast on the day we had an early pick up for a trip out with a guide which was a bit steep given the room rate. There were lots of birds in the area and the hotel could attract many to the gardens/grounds if the hummingbird feeders were regularly replenished (they were practically empty our full 5 day stay). A suggestion would be to use up any left over fruit such as papaya or banana to set up a feeding station for wild birds in the hotel gardens "

Hotel Casa Mezcal

"The real Panamá experience "
