Welcome to Kaba Kada "Daintree" House. Nestled on the foothills of the majestic Thornton's Peak, your accommodation is immersed in the beauty that is the Daintree Rainforest.
Wake up to the chorus of the rainforest birds, the sounds and smells of the forest.
Feeling as if you are miles from anywhere, you'll be surprised to find three cafes and the famous Daintree Ice Cream Company within walking distance! A choice of two tropical beaches within 10 km makes you spoilt for choice, either pristine Cow Bay Beach to the south or spectacular Thornton's beach ( complete with waterfront cafe), to the North.
Enjoy using Kaba Kada as a base from which to enjoy the many things to do in the Daintree. Or alternatively, just relax in the tranquility of the property. Spend the day chilling in the Hammock, reading on the daybed or enjoying a BBQ on the front deck. Your accommodation looks out onto the rainforest midstory and canopy, thus allowing you to spot the numerous butterfly and bird species that utilise this part of the rainforest. Upon the property you'll find numerous other native fauna species. Monitor lizards, Bandicoot, striped possum, dingoes as well as cassowaries have all been sighted here.
Your accommodation is a fully self-contained holiday home which is tiled and screened throughout. With a large solar system and modern appliances the house make it very comfortable with the added luxury of a reduced carbon footprint.
Comprising of 2 large bedrooms with a shared bathroom between, each has a Queen bed, cupboard, bookshelf and couch. An extra two guests can be accommodated using the foldout couch in the lounge room, if needed.
Preparing and cooking meals is a pleasure with a well appointed kitchen complete with large double door fridge, dishwasher and chefs oven. There is also the option of a BBQ, situated on the front verandah.
