"We spent 1 night at the lake cottage and then 6 at one of Sonali's other properties (South Point Abbey) that is located a short distance away on the beach. The Lake Cottage is a very quaint cottage, situated on the most beautiful lake. There are monkeys in the trees and lot of wildlife to watch. The cottage comes with a caretaker, houseboy, cleaner and a chef (if required). The chef cooked us the most delicious meal for our arrival and we were looked after very well. "We had a great 4 night stay at Ahu Bay. It was nice that Nilanga messaged ahead to discuss arrival time. Having a room right on the beach was a real treat and the private pool was kept spotless by the team. The team couldn’t do more for us during our stay, making adjustments to cocktails to suit ours tastes. We ate at hotel twice and both times really enjoyed the dishes we tried, it’s clear there’s a talented chef in the kitchen! "

"RIU was excellent in service and being an all inclusive, we didn't need to leave the property! Many choices on the menu to keep you there both for food and drinks. Lots of entertainment and activities throughout the day so never a dull moment. Would definitely recommend going with a group to make full use of the unlimited cocktails and beers. Has a kids club and kids pool too which keeps them occupied. "

"Such an incredibly beautiful property, the rooms had such beautiful Dutch old world charm. If you have the budget spurge and get the Admiral Suite. It’s huge!!!!!! I felt like a true queen with it all to myself. I also opted for the full board. As with many other I can confirm the food is outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a delightful stay. If you’re thinking booking just go ahead and book it. "

"The pool and beach setting were incredible, the room was spacious and had nice amenitys, the beds were comfy and balconys had a stunning view. We upgraded to half board when we arrived, breakfast had lots of options, dinner was always really high quality food, however the amount offered did seem to depend on how many people were in the hotel at the time. "

Fantastic stay at a gorgeous hotel

"We had an amazing time at Riff, nothing bad to say about the place. It was extremely comfortable with great service. A fab pool and direct access to the beach. The food was delicious in both the downstairs restaurant and the rooftop restaurant - especially the grilled seafood (lobster and prawns!) and the a la carte breakfast was fantastic. We loved having drinks on the rooftop at sunset every evening, with great views and live music. Felt very spoilt! "
