"My wife and I booked the Arabian Nights themed room for our 10th anniversary because it looked like a fun room. When we arrived at the hotel, TK greeted us very warmly and actually offered to show us 3 total themed rooms, including the one we originally chose, that were available for the same time frame and all the same price or a few bucks less. After touring all 3 rooms, we ended up choosing the Jungle Safari room, and it was the right choice. It was a really fun themed room. The best part of it was the hot tub that actually had the water coming from the "rock" wall, so it kind of imitated a jungle waterfall. The only con for me (being 6ft tall) was that I had to duck in a couple places in the room, but that wasn't much more than a minor inconvenience. There was even a second TV on a ledge above the hot tub. It is an older hotel, so don't expect everything to be perfect, but there were no problems with anything in the room or the parts of the hotel that we encountered. It's all up to date and kept very clean and tidy. Breakfast was awesome, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links, a good selection of breakfast drinks... I don't know what the rest of the breakfast was, but there were more options as well. Overall, I'd rate our trip at 9-9.5/10."

Wyndham Garden Galena Hotel & Day Spa

"This is a really great hotel if you want to explore Galena and its surroundings a bit. We absolutely loved the pool and hot tub and the staff was super nice and super helpful. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the AC was quite loud, but this seems to be fairly standard in this area (I had this at other hotels too) so I shut it off in the middle of the night and opened the window."

"Booked this last minute on our way to a cross country baseball tournament and were pleasantly suprised!! The property was uniquely decorated, clean, quaint and charming. Very unique and we loved it! The staff was very friendly, breakfast was what you’d expect from a hotel breakfast, great coffee- overall we loved it and would recommend and stay again!! We usually stay at Mariott or similar- so this was so different for us!! Small family feel- so neat!"
