Chalets in Dordogne

Thank you for a...

"Montignac is a great village: lively, with good local shops and restaurants, and ideally situated for exploring the Dordogne, with its many sights just a short drive away. The house itself is well located. It’s very central but also quiet. It has good bones and is attractive from the outside, but unfortunately that is where the positives stop.Inside, the house, furniture and décor have been untouched since the 1980s, apart from air-conditioning in the dining room. The facilities are ultra basic...

"Had a lovely week here. Chalet could do with some updating but it was fine as a base to explore the beautiful area. The swimming pool was great and we loved the remote location. It feels like you are miles from anywhere. Owner was very nice and very helpful."

"Fantastic stay from start to finish. Everything was as described and better."

"Very quiet surroundings and a lot of privacy. It is a wooden chalet with thin walls, so you can hear a lot from the orher room. Kitchen very well equipped. Unfortunatedly we had no time for the jacuzzi/sauna. Very warm welcome from the hosts"

"Basic but perfect if you just want a few days of tranquil rest and a good base to explore surrounding area. "

On recommande !"

"ACCEUIL CHARMANT"

"Wonderful lodge to stay at that’s impeccably clean with outstanding views and with lots of wildlife spotting of dear, hares and birds of prey. The lodge is so well thought out with amazing attention to detail and furnishings. Superb heated pool that’s spotlessly clean, along with the steamroom, jacuzzi and sauna. The star gazing of a nighttime is so wonderful and the constellation so clear with lots of shooting stars. Patrice the owner is very friendly and always available if you need him. It...

"The place was good as described .It would be helpful to know in advance that. You need to reserve linens ,towels, and cleaning if you want these that aren't provided. For Americans this is unusual. The staff was very helpful. Communication is best with what's app."

"We returned here after first visiting the lodge last year. The property was in just as good a condition as it was when we last came and was immaculately clean. The owners gave us complete privacy but were always on hand to help if needed. We really enjoy visiting the lodge and will definitely be back again. Thanks for a lovely stay."

"We had a wonderful stay of 4 nights at this house. A beautiful and quiet location while also being very close to many activities (caves, canoeing, good restaurants, etc.). Highly recommended!"
