Needed to say in this area for the sporting event
We went to Dortmund for the sporting event and needed to stay in this area for 3 days. I don't know how safe the area is, we did not have any problems but we were not going anywhere in the evening. We basically only used the apartment for the overnight stay and the advantage was that there is a kitchen and two rooms for sleeping so the children could sleep in separate room. The apartment is very specious but there is limited storage and generally not very much furniture. Before we arrived I received a message from the apartment what time we will arrive as there is no reception. Our checking was not an issue. Generally we thought the apartment was fine for us and for our stay in Dortmund.

Difficult check-in, very poor apartment
Checking in to Do Aparts was very challenging and stressful, as the property has no front desk and the owners didn't respond to any queries through this website. I tried contacting them by message, email and phone several times in the days and weeks before our arrival, and only finally got through to them a couple of hours before we were due to check in. Even then, I was just given a different phone number to ring when we arrived. This was answered by a woman with poor English who didn't seem to be expecting us, but she did eventually come to let us in to the apartment after we had been stood outside freezing on the street for 5-10 minutes. The apartment itself is very run down, with damaged ceilings, broken glass in the internal doors, unsafe and broken plug sockets, missing light fixtures and blinds that do little to keep any light out from the noisy adjacent main road. The surrounding area is unpleasant and smelled strongly of sewage. Plus points: cheap, only 15 minutes walk from the train station and city centre, plenty of beds (mostly sofa or camp beds).

Not even a hotel!
Had a terrible experience!! This place is not even a hotel but apartments they rent out in fairly sketchy places. Do not recommend to anyone looking for an expecting an actual hotel.

O apartamento que nos colocaram quando chegamos não era o mesmo das fotos . Colchões horríveis e com o telhado baixo . Reclamamos e nos trocaram para outro melhor e mais confortável . Porém sem roupas de camas suficientes . No segundo dia depois de várias ligações entregaram a roupa de cama . Não falavam inglês , ou seja sem comunicação . Apesar de melhor o apartamento não era o mesmo das fotos .
