Old Faithful Snow Lodge & Cabins - Inside the Park

"The Snow Lodge cabin was very spacious and comfortable. It is the best place to stay to watch Old Faithful at any time of the day and several times a day if you want. In the evening managed to get a shot with a Bison next to it. Convenient place to visit the surrounding geysers. Only drawback to this area are the limited dining options."

Mammoth Hot Springs & Cabins - Inside the Park

"I was so excited about our trip to visit Yellowstone Nat’l Park. We arrived late in the evening due to a flight delay. The only negative comment I have is that the noise from closing car doors made it hard to sleep—vehicles can park close to the cabins. The cabin rooms are small but accommodate two people. We didn’t come all that way to stay in a room. We had a nice breakfast in the dining room and especially enjoyed the short walks to the visitor’s center, park store, and hot springs. "

So what if there is no internet service…..

"A lot of ppl complain about this hotel because it doesn’t have a TV or internet service. Are you kidding me right now??!! You have Old Faithful and miles of hiking right outside your hotel, don’t sit there and watch TV, get out and breathe the air and move! We just opened the window (no AC) cool breeze and fresh air! Remember, this is a hotel built in 1908, rich in American history, it’s not a luxury hotel, think of the expense as a donation to the Parks Service if that makes you feel better. I do believe that they made this hotel hold so many guests that the staff have a hard time just keeping up with the day to day basic needs of everyone/maintenance so you don’t get that warm and fuzzy feeling. I think they are busting butt just to keep up so not a lot of “extra” attention can be given by staff. But it was still a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful, iconic hotel."

Lake Yellowstone Hotel & Cabins - Inside the Park

"This property is certainly beautiful and more secluded—less busy than the areas around Mammoth Hot Springs and Old Faithful. The lobby area is large—much seating to view the lake through the large windows. Friendly servers come around to ask if you ‘d like a drink from the bar. There was a pianist playing music in the evening. A pleasant, restful night before heading out for a day of seeing the sights in the park. "

"Pahaska Tepee Resort is “a cabin on the woods” in all senses. The A-frame houses have 3-4 small rooms under one roof. All are wooden and rustic ally but comfortably furnished. No Internet! The hotel front desk and gift shop are combined and are next to the restaurant, which has a small but good and authentic menu—including moose meatloaf! There is a grocery store/convenience store next door owned by the resort which serves coffee and breakfast fare. The resort is on a highway between the east entrance to Yellowstone and Cody, Wyoming. Truly in the middle of nowhere!"

Elk heaven!

"What a great place. I don't know if the 6x6 bull elk jumped more or I did as he came around the corner of the fence lol. It was absolutely amazing listings to the bull elks bugling! The night sky with all the stars! Hear a wolf in the distance. Waking up in the morning to a female elk bedding down right outside the fence. It was an amazing stay! ( we don't have elk in IL!) The cabin as cute as could be . We just ran to the grocery store and picked up dinner when we came out of Yellowstone. ( a mile away) will be back to this hidden gem!"
