For a very remote area in a very tiny town, our stay was exceptional. The food prepared in the guesthouse was excellent and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.
The Malarhorn Guesthouse was a lovely spot to spend the night. Very nice room (and big!), very friendly and helpful staff, good food in the restaurant in a tiny little town. We could have happily stayed a few more days.
The property was cute. It is a shared guesthouse but the rooms were very cute and 2 nice clean restrooms. The food at the restaurant was great!! The hot tubs along the water were a very nice treat. The hot one was perfect.
Great room with an porch overlooking the ocean. Nice breakfast selection. A very small village but they offer a unique hot tub experience! Very friendly staff!
Nice room, clean and large.
The restaurant let us sit and have beers past closing. Met wonderful people from Iceland & Austria. We had a great time. Hot pots at the ocean front was beautiful.

We fell in love with the place.
Beautiful landscape, nice beds friendly staff, and delicious food.Their fisf soup and fish srew first class. And fried plaice was on top.We aure are coming again.
Small remote place that has amazing views of the mountains and oceans. About a half a K down the way are three free 24/7 natural spring hot tubs. We drank beers there after dinner with the captain of the whale watching boat and his wife it was great. Food and staff were as well.
Lovely location and excellent restaurant. Wish the boat trip to see puffin and other birds was running earlier in June when we were there (doesn’t start until June 15th). Also need curtains or something more than a window shade to cover windows during 24 hr daylight. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
This was my best room so far in Iceland of 5 nights traveling around to a different location each day. Delicious halibut dinner. Top quality. Staff were eager to help & friendly. Gave me excellent tips for viewing Aurora Borealis. Saw them from midnight to 1 am. While having breakfast, watched humpback whales spouting & breaching in the distance. New & super clean public hot poos beside accommodations. I had the pool & hot tubs to myself I would highly recommend this place!!!
We arrived late after traveling several hours and found 1 room easily. The other room was a shared space and was finally found after asking another guest for help. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and wifi was available so we could plan for the next day. We had a delicious breakfast the next morning.
This place was terrific. We booked late and there wasn't much available at all, so we were a little early. But the place was perfect. A lot of room, v good food, and the hot pools right on the ocean just a block away were great. And do book the boat to Bramley Island. Thousands of puffins a very short ride away.
