I loved the way it always smelled, the design of the building and even the rooms decor. So fast forward to my stay, the hotel design 23 years later is just how I expected the Le Meridian Hotel to look and feel like. It is a very chic and elegant place and I wouldn’t expect anything less from the brand. The staff were friendly and pleasant while there and I enjoyed my beautiful sound proof room the most because I slept like a baby. Also, there’s some great restaurants around there within walking distance from the hotel and overall I’m more than happy with my stay. The only downside to the location is the traffic getting there, (roughly after 4pm) because depending on where you you’re coming from you might be driving longer than usual."

"From an early check-in onwards, the staff were consistently friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with helpful recommendations and quick to sort out anything I needed. Booked a one-bedroom suite, which was spacious and had a separate lounge. That made a real difference, as there was room to relax or work without everything being crammed into the bedroom. The hotel is clean and modern throughout and the amenities are well maintained. Location and transport are where this hotel really stands out. Getting to the Palm or Downtown is very easy. There are always plenty of taxis waiting outside, and taxis booked through apps arrived within two or three minutes every time. The Metro and Tram are about five minutes away by taxi, or roughly a 20-minute walk. The hotel is close to the Dubai Marina promenade. Dubai Marina Mall and JBR beach are both about a 30-minute walk away, or a quick 5-10 minute taxi ride. There's also a handful of restaurants and cafés within a 5-10 minute walk, so you don't always need to travel far for a meal or a coffee. Facilities include a sports bar on the first floor, a well-equipped gym, and a decent-sized pool with loungers. Guests can get access to the sister beach club on the Palm, with a shuttle bus provided. Overall, First Collection Dubai Marina offers spacious rooms, good facilities, helpful staff and excellent connections to the rest of the city. It's a comfortable and practical choice whether you're visiting for leisure or business."
