Excellent location for a stroll near the corniche with a ferry ride or a subway/metro ride. There aren't many grocery stores though near by, unfortunately. Hotel is clean, and staff is friendly. Will stay again.

Hafez is an apartment hotel with kitchen that you can use to cook/prepare your own food/diet. It's new Al Ras metro station and 5/6 minutes walk to Gold Souk.

This hotel is good if you need a simple overnight stay. It offers nothing. You have to request towels. It has a bed, shower and toilet. The kitchen has no dishes nor a stove. If you need a place to sleep for the night, this is ok, its only 8 min from airport and cheap.

This hotel was really bad it was bad organised, people weren't responsible for cleaning the room. The minute we were going to the the room there's was a rat that came out of the room, it was a very bad and horrible situation to be in. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Mixed experience: - The whole of Al Ras appears to have a mild cockroach problem, likely because it's a working port. - The laundry service (a) discarded my laundry bag; and (b) wrote my room number in indelible ink on the inside of my shirt collars. They were beautifully ironed, but... - The area is the pre-1960 oyster-diving village, and it shows! Narrow windy laneways, low-rise buildings, souks and individual merchants all over the place. The nearby dhow wharfage is a working port, and the tenants in the ground floor of the hotel are merchants trading grains and spices. - The room was spacious and comfortable. - The staff were friendly and helpful.

1.Not friendly staff (seems like the staff work on the hotel is not "hotel educated", they are only common labor. 2. While we ask for taxi, they will call private transportation, worst then Dubai Taxi, and the price will be 4,5 times expensive to normal Dubai's taxi 3. No parking at the hotel, we need to pay private parking on the basement of the hotel, and its expensive.
