The Neighborhood:
Kilmainham is the absolute perfect place to enjoy Dublin. It is on Kilmainham Lane which is across the road from the very famous Irish Museum of Modern Art. It has stunning grounds and gardens to enjoy as well as hosting concerts regularly. The Irish War Memorial Gardens are also only a short walk from the property. The walk along the river is stunning and it leads to Chapelizod village which has a host of restaurants and cafes to have lunch.
Kilmainham Gaol/Jail is a must see and it is a few minutes walk from the property. It takes you on a very interesting journey through Irish history.
The city centre is only 20 mins on foot which means you can explore the infamous Templebar and Trinity College. The Guinness Brewery is only about a 5min walk away. It truly is an exceptional location to see everything Dublin has to offer.
Getting Around:
There are lots of transport options with buses to the city centre and beyond. Heuston station is less than 10 mins to explore beyond Dublin. Loads of walking and tours options on the foorstep. Good footwear and a light raincoat are recommended because it is Ireland afterall.
