** Perfect for groups coming to FloydFest, the famous Hillsville Flea Market, Galax Fiddlers Convention. **

* Nine acres added to the property, for a total of 12 acres to roam and explore, including a trail up the mountain to a large flat area at the top to explore, picnic, camp, star gaze or relax as well as additional river frontage on native trout stream for fishing and enjoying the cool, clear mountain waters. We have recently added / upgraded many amenities including a fire pit, gas grill and hot tub. *

Dog, child friendly modern home located on bold, native trout stream with relaxing sounds from the waterfall and surrounding forests. Sit in front of the fireplace or enjoy breathtaking views and sounds of nature from the expansive deck furnished with multiple tables, chairs, a gas grill and a hot tub for six. This 4150 square-foot home sleeps up to fourteen comfortably and offers year-round appeal for a variety of guests, including fishermen, hunters, skiers, golfers, couples, family/group reunions and visitors traveling to FloydFest, Virginia Tech or Martinsville Speedway. For those guests that must stay connected, the house has high-speed broadband Wi-Fi internet, Satellite TV, a landline and cell phone booster.

Located a short distance from Olde Mill Golf Resort, Primland Resort and Chateau Morrisette Winery and Restaurants. Situated near the New River in Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, this mountain retreat is only 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway at Meadows of Dan, Mabry Mill and Fancy Gap. Golf, swimming, boating, antiquing, winery tours and horseback riding are all within a few miles. Great areas for fishing, hiking and biking are available on site.

This mountain home is a perfect place for viewing fall foliage on the Blue Ridge Parkway, attending NASCAR races in Martinsville and exploring country and bluegrass music, local food, arts and crafts in Floyd. Located two hours from Boone and other ski resorts in North Carolina and less than 25 miles from Mount Airy (aka Mayberry), this home is a great base for visiting a host of scenic places. The Labor Day Flea Market in Hillsville every September is the largest in the U.S. and the Fiddlers Convention in Galax held every August is the oldest and largest in the U.S. Primland Resort, Chateau Morrisette Winery and the restaurant at the Olde Mill Golf Resort offer fine dining experiences within a radius of at least 10 miles from the property.

** Pets welcome (dogs only, 2 dogs maximum, with $100 pet fee per dog). **

** NOTE ABOUT THE DRIVEWAY TO OUR HOME: our gravel driveway from the paved road to our home has some curvy and steep sections, as is normal in the mountains. There are "speed bumps" that help with water run-off and driveway erosion during storms. SUVs, trucks, and higher clearance vehicles have no issues. Low clearance sedans (as some members of our team drive) or sports cars may rub on the speed bumps, so crossing at an angle and / or near the ends should help. Even without 4WD you will be fine, put your car in Low and go slow if needed. **

Nice weekend in the mountains
The home was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 10. The hosts were very responsive to our notes and emails. The location was remote but gorgeous. We loved our nights in the hot tub.we were pleased with our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for an escape to the mountains.

Spacious and comfortable Home
Not much to say that hasn't been said in previous reviews, but reinforce the following: 1) The house is very comfortable and spacious. 2) The kitchen is well equipped and there is a lot of refrigerator/freezer space. 3) We did not need to contact the owners much, but when we did they responded quickly. Additionally, they were very proactive in their communications to us. 4) We had no problem with the driveway (2 sedans and 2 suvs) but I'll bet the owners have to put in a lot of work to keep it maintained. 5) In summary, we had a great family gathering at the Lodge and will likely be returning. What a wonderful lodge
Our stay at Kim and Andys lodge was everything we could ask for in a vacation rental. The location has a beautiful view from the hot tub. It was not too far from town to get groceries. The space fit our large party for an unofficial college reunion and it is unanimous that this lodge would be a contender for another group vacation.

Amazing place to get away from it all. A luxo cabin in the woods with all the amenities of home.
What a true gem! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lodge at laurel fork and are looking forward to returning in the future with a few other couples to take advantage of all the cabin has to offer. This was an impromptu work extension stay turned opportunity to get a quick escape night in with my girlfriend. While it was more cabin than we really needed it turned out to be exactly what we wanted. High speed internet service allowed us both to get some work done during the day and the tranquil setting allowed a relaxing environment to enjoy a dinner and evening devoid of the normal distractions of daily life at home. The river provided a great chance for a hike without having to go anywhere and even a chance to catch a couple trout. While they were not dinner worthy the kitchen allowed us all that we needed to make a great meal and the jacuzzi was just icing on the cake so to speak. The hosts were incredibly responsive to the few inquiries we had while at the property and made sure we made ourselves and home and enjoyed the stay. It is definitely on the list of places to revisit for a longer stay and while I’ll have a better itinerary of local options to explore I can’t say I’d be upset to just relax at the cabin and soak in the skyline at sunset and sounds of the forest. Thanks for a wonderful weekend away!
