My room was clean but dusty in certain places (it's an old building). The lamp shade was dusty and bothered my allergies. I wasn't texted the info about the building having codes (you need a code for the main door, your room and the bathroom) until 1 hour before I arrived (I didn't realize that they didn't have a regular front desk) and since I was on a flight and then getting a rental car at the airport and parking (you have to pay to park off site), I didn't see it so I had to reach out after hours. The sauna did not have knob for the on/temperature control so I was not able to use it even though I really wanted to after hiking 20 miles on one of my vacation days. I used the fan in the room (I was downstairs from the main floor) due to stuffiness and to drown out the live music from the bar in the basement. I liked the location, very close to the Lake walk and Canal park, so I did a lot of walking which I enjoyed. Duluth is a great city.

Room was beautiful, quiet, warm and inviting! There was a fridge with a separate freezer, a microwave and a nespresso coffee machine. Staff was available by phone and very responsive!

Okay, this was an experience. It is listed as a hostel. It's basically some rooms being renovated in an old city hall that has some bars. We stayed on a Thursday night, which was live jazz music until 11 pm in one of the bars. Also, a man was sanding the floor in the room adjacent (it all seems to be being renovated) until I asked him to stop at 10:30 pm. That being said, we were in room 5, which was nicely renovated and had all the amenities except the couch leg was broken and there is no closet or hook to hang anything up on. Also, the rooms are interior, so no windows. The shared bathroom across the hall was adequate. The biggest issue is that all the codes needed for everything were so hard to remember, and there is NO parking. The casino across the street meant the area was sketchy, and we had to pay to park in a parking ramp down the block and then carry all our things. Should be cheaper for the inconveniences.

Great value for a unique stay! Loved the charm of the building and room. Everything seemed clean/tidy, well kept, and fairly quiet. Not a problem sharing the 2 bathrooms in hall, that were close by. Perk there was a sauna, and 2 bars on site. Would stay again!

If you have ever traveled in Europe on the cheap you'll get this place. If full service hotels are your thing you you won't. Great location, although they are not kidding about homeless people in the area. I gave the staff 3 stars simply because I never saw nor needed them.

Super cute boutique look, loved the black out blinds…slept til 9 thinking it was 6! Very nice Nespresso coffee machine. My only small suggestion for room 10 is more hooks for towels and coats, and maybe a makeup mirror/light (bathroom is a bit dark to apply makeup).
