"Short stay for a Halloween party at Mabie Farm. I didn’t get out to see any sites after that as my waterproof Vessie’s failed miserably. Wet feet, soaked socks plus no other shoes to get out and about in. My own fault. The hotel staff have been amazing ( let me into dining room in slippers)except for the wake-up call a day early to vacate my room😂. I can’t give a review on property except it looks amazing in pictures I have seen. Farther out than I expected from city centre. I wanted to see the shops but I unfortunately couldn’t get out. It is sad to have come this far and not get the Dumfries experience. Hotel is not to blame but I don’t see me coming back."

"A wee overnight stay in the Borders , Carlisle is a lovely place to wander round the historic buildings and charity shops and a few antique ones too. Not to mention the pubs and restaurants all within easy access from the Crown and Mitre. Lovey old hotel which is going through a wee clean and repair at the moment.Which ment the swimming pool was closed .But in all, a lovely hotel and the staff were all fantastic knowledgeable and professional."

"The room was outstanding, very modern good decor and most importantly it was very warm when I arrived. The heating was on all night too!! Brilliant. The food was good in the evening. Breakfast outstanding"
