Completely remodeled and upgraded cozy cottage on 2.25 acres in the Arapaho National Forest. There's a cute little bonus shed for private, late-night conversations or a "getaway from your getaway". Relax with 360 degree mountain views and a creek flowing right through the property!
Start hiking or climbing right out your door, or on any of the trails in this small, private community. Located between Idaho Springs and Georgetown, there are nearby breweries, restaurants, and unique shops, as well as skiing, hiking, biking, ziplining, and more. Adorable place in peaceful location

We really enjoyed this cute and vintage feel cabin. The bed was comfortable and the location provided the right amount of solitude while still being not far from town. Hosts were easy to communicate with.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is well appointed and very comfortable. Very convenient to I-70 but in a very quiet area up the mountain. Thanks for a great visit.

Peaceful Mountain Stay

Diane was great to work with. The home was clean and had everything you need. The location was great as it was a short drive to Idaho Springs and Georgetown. Thanks for the great hospitality.

Great little cottage!

Loved this place! The location was quiet and secluded but still within 15 of two little cute downtowns. Everything was clean and they had all the amenities we were looking for - a grill, kitchen stuff, a fire pit, etc. we were able to pick up local bison and cook there which was nice! We did have a little utility issue but the manager rushed over right away and addressed it. Overall, perfect stay and we would def come back!

2nd stay at the Chickadee

We enjoyed our first stay so much that we decided to book again for a ski weekend at Loveland. We love how cozy the place is, and its proximity to Loveland ski area, and restaurants etc. in Georgetown and Idaho Springs. Its a perfect home base for relaxing afternoons/evenings after a good morning on the slops. We'll be back again, for sure.

Sweet Cottage, perfect for couples

A beautiful cottage, nestled in the Arapaho National Forest. We had everything we needed. Would stay here again. Ideal for a couple or family with only one child. Be sure you grab food and other necessities before you head up to the cabin as it is quite removed from town - which is great!

Charming!

Lovely, cozy property. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. Spent a lot of time marveling at the hummingbirds at the feeder. Quick access (20-30 mins) to some amazing hikes in Idaho Springs and Evergreen.

Perfect clean space

This little cottage was a perfect place for a getaway. Super clean and updated. Comfortable and well appointed. The location worked well for us. We enjoyed the hummingbirds. We used Idaho Springs as our area for restaurants and drove up to Mt. Evans. It worked out super well. Highly recommend!

Peaceful Mountain Retreat

Everything was excellent! The property was impeccably clean, well-maintained, and beautifully appointed. The location was quiet and secluded while still being just minutes away from I-70 and roughly 45 minutes to an hour away from Denver (depending on traffic) Diane was the perfect host. She was responsive and communicative and made sure I could have the best-possible experience of the weekend I stayed there. Highly recommend!

Quick snowy ski trip

The property is very nice, so well done. The decor in the kitchen and bathroom are really cool. The space is bigger than I expected, and in such a sweet spot, up in the mountains. The pictures don't do it justice as to how nice and roomy it is. The deck would be awesome to hang out, but it was covered in about a foot of snow, and it was quite cold while we were there. The mud/laundry room is also roomy and very nice and great place to undress from snow clothes and remove shoes etc. It was an easy drive down to Idaho Springs or Georgetown for dinner/beer, and less than 1hr up to Arapahoe Basin or Winter Park. The price was right. We had minimal cell service and the internet was out when we arrived. The owner made great communication with us about getting it repaired during our stay and everything worked out fine.

Super Charming Mountain Home

Loved this place! They have thought of everything for making your stay cozy, comfortable and convenient. Diane was very communicative and responsive prior to my arrival and finding the property and gaining access was easy. It's close to a creek, so you can hear it from inside the house which is nice. The kitchen has everything you need if you decide to cook in. The barrel fire feature was a unique way for keeping warm at night while watching all of the stars. The yard is fenced and spending time on the bench out front watching hummingbirds was a joy. The bed (really comfortable), linens and towels were also very nice and the other furnishings are quality. The neighborhood is super quiet which was a nice break from suburbia. It is on the sunny side of the road, which helped keep it nice and comfortable rather than being in the shadows of the trees. This is definitely the cleanest, cutest place I've stayed and I would certainly come back. Thank you for sharing this sweet retreat! P.S. The shower had good pressure and Starlink internet worked great.

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is so cute and every detail is great. The style of the interior is so charming and the setting is beautiful. I especially loved the sounds of the creek nearby. We found it to be a great rental with our toddler as well.

The Chickadee is BEAUTIFUL

My friends and I stayed at the Chickadee for a little holiday get away to enjoy Colorado and ski. We loved the Chickadee. It is such a cute home and met all of our needs. The surrounding area is so beautiful. We could see the stars at night. We really enjoyed the outdoor hang out area and the decor. Everything was clean, up to date, and just wonderful accommodations. The host was very helpful and kind and quick to respond to any questions we had.

Weekend trip to hit the slopes

Chickadee is the cutest, coziest rental I have ever had. We had significant snowfall and weren't able to use the porch but it looks comfortable. We had plenty of room to spread out our gear and every detail was taken care of for us. It is a 2.5 mile drive up the canyon from I-70 and we enjoyed all the nature and quiet. I hope to be back in the summer!
