Room was clean and comfortable, nice view of the sea. There was weird smells coming through the vent in our room at times which was unpleasant. I was ment to get 10% of my food bill but i didnt, also couldnt sit at the bar and have a drink after 11.30 had to sit in lobby.
Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. There is not much around the hotel, you need to drive or have a long walk to reach anywhere. The hotel was lovely, the staff excellent we’d stay again. The food in the restaurant was also very good.
Nice hotel, great staff and a nice stay. Good place for us after flying through the night and being outside of Dublin was better prices than in the big city
The hotel was nice, the check-in was easy everyone there was very nice. It’s very clean modern hotel and a nice room with a view out. It is about 10 minute drive into town, but we enjoyed our stay. The town is very cute.
Very impressed with the staff who accomodated our needs (daily ice from the bar). While not a deal breaker, would have been nice to have a refrigerator in our excutive suite. Would stay again if ever traveling to Ireland again.
Unable to sleep due to banging noise outside our window.
Really poor service at breakfast. One member of staff who was getting breakfast for room service ! I had to ask several times to have dishes replenished. Very few tables were cleared after use.
At 10am two further staff appeared !
I mentioned this to the receptionist all she said to me was - I’ll mention this to management.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Nice hotel lobby, friendly staff and good breakfast.
Excellent location and beautiful inside with very friendly helpful staff. First class breakfast for just 10 euro if booked at reception. Plenty of secure parking.
Slight criticism regarding room being cold which we reported but wasn't fixed but manager was very apologetic next day. Olga on reception was SO helpful.
Great two night stay. Didn’t experience the restaurant but did have drinks in the bar both evenings. Service was a little slow but nothing out of the ordinary.
Room was large and comfortable and the reception staff were really helpful when I needed to prints some speeches.
Gateway Hotel in Dundalk is one of the best hotel the room is very clean the service is excellent the environment is perfect everything about the hotel is perfectly okay I recommend anyone that want to travel to above City to love in that way Hotel I rated it five star
We enjoyed the property very much. Only negative is room was too hot. Airconnturned off suring the night and we were told this was to save the planet.. meantime my husband woke up seating and made for a uncomfortable sleep. This was also the case with my daughter who stayed in another room. Aircon needs to be available throughout the entire stay please in the rooms.
