"My husband and I stayed her in July 2026. We were, initially, a little disappointed with the location of the hotel as it seemed a bit far away from the attractions we wanted to see. This turned out not to be a problem.as Belfast itself was quite easy to navigate.
On check-in, we were infor.ed that our room was in the 'newly refurbished' annexe opposite. The hotel itself was lovely. Nicely decorated and furnished. We went over to our room and were shocked that we had an apartment, not just a room. It had been beautifully designed, with huge rooms and modern furniture. The things that let it down, however, was the quality of the refurbishment. The ceilings were cracked, the fridge door didn't fit and the seal around the shower was either mouldy or dirty.
Not the fault of the hotel staff but the guests in another room came in late banging doors and talking really loudly. I did report this the following morning but don't think anything would have been done.
On the plus side, though, the food was excellent. A great selection of continental and cooked buffet food, with alternatives available to order at extra cost. We also ate there on the first night. The sea bass was absolutely delicious and is highly recommended.
I think, if I were to visit again, I would stay at the Malone but would ask for a room in the hotel."
