"We couldn't have picked a more perfect place. The cottage is located on a beautiful, quiet tree-lined lane, which is unique considering many similar stays are on the noisy main roads. We were greeted every morning by a mare and her foal grazing directly outside the window. Although the setting is quaint, the lodge itself is well-appointed and spacious with a sophisticated kitchen, comfortable furniture, and a washer/dryer combo. Finola helped my mother in the US send flowers for my birthday and even dropped off her own gift, which was such a kind surprise. If we ever have the good fortune to return, we'd gladly stay here again. "

"After our experience at the last cottage, which was less than welcoming (guest instructions posted like confetti around whole house), cluttered, and unclean, we weren't sure what to expect.We weren’t disappointed! Seán allowed us to check in early and met us at their cottage to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for more!The cottage was spotlessly clean and had some basic supplies (tea, sugar, etc.). We took advantage of Suzi's cooking and generosity by ordering her soda bread and a cottage pie for two which would easily feed four and all for a very reasonable 25...thank you, Suzi We humans soon made friends with the resident cats, who thankfully were very dog savvy moggies, although our dogs were less entranced Would we recommend? Undoubtably!Would we come again? Absolutely!"

"Our large group of family and friends stayed here for a week and enjoyed the beautiful Drawing Room for morning coffee, cocktail hour and nightcaps (made extra cozy by the fireplace). During the day we enjoyed the nearby lanes and paths that wander through the green and tranquil countryside. There are a lot of attractive and large rooms that are perfect for a large group, but bathrooms (and hot water availability) need updating (some toilet seats were falling off). That said, we'd go back. The only other downside is that it's only convenient to Cong and Ashford Castle. So plan to drive a lot if you'd like to visit other areas/sites. The remoteness was both a plus and minus. The caterer made what we all agreed was the best fish and chips we'd ever had, so plan for at least one meal by them. And you can avoid a drive back to the house after dinner! "
