Dunoon is a wonderful seaside town. Good dining in many places, walking along the water is very nice with convenient shops and resting places along the way. Downtown Dunoon shops are a bit tourist-oriented, but still worth checking out.
The people are wonderful, kind and have a great sense of humor.
We went to the high games - wish we had more time to look around the city. It was beautiful.

Eat at the Lorne if you can, excellent dining and drink options! Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly.
More residential than touristy. Good ferry connections.
