Great home backyard needs work
Clean home, nice neighborhood. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the backyard. Our dog struggled on the hillside/slope that is the backyard. She got many pokes and scrapes from the overgrowth on the hill. Owner did say they are getting the backyard landscaped soon. Would not return with our dog.

Charming House, Easy Walking Distance
Exactly what we were looking for! This was close to Purgatory ski resort (30 min), and it was also central enough in town that we could walk to some breweries and restaurants. Our dogs liked walking down to the river. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with supplies, and the home was cozy and welcoming. We hope to be back!

Very nice stay. The house has a well stocked kitchen, mini splits for staying comfortable, and comfy beds. Close to downtown while off the main road means quiet mornings on the porch.

Drip, Drip, Drip
Was disappointed that when we got to the property at 5:30PM there were 2 grown men in the house working on air-conditioning. I would have preferred we were told they would be there given I had 2 teenage daughters with me. There were a lot of bugs in the house. Lastly, the air conditioner was dripping into a pan and my wife couldn't sleep so she had to go downstairs and sleep on the couch while we were staying here. We would not come back.

Lovely home! Excellent proximity to river and more
Our family of 4 stayed in the Garden Home for a few weeks. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The house is located very conveniently for reaching mountain bike trails (test track or Star Wars), the public library, recreation center, skateboard park, neighborhood elementary school with a great playground, the river trail, and less than a mile from downtown (main street). The house is well equipped with everything you will need. Highly recommend for families!

Enjoyed our stay in this nice property.
Our stay in this property was very comfortable. The house is very nice. Just about every detail to make our stay good was taken care of. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, as well as some food items, like coffee, sugar, herbs and spices, cooking oil, etc. etc. in the pantry. The beds and furniture are comfortable. The clothes washer and drier are new and convenient. The Wifi was easy to use and the speed was moderate. The TV, BlueRay player, and satellite system were pretty good. We really enjoyed sitting in the chairs on the front porch with friends and our dogs throughout the day. The neighborhood nice because it is older with mature trees and houses. It is pleasant and fairly quiet. We enjoyed taking morning and evening walks down to the river, main street with the restaurant and shops, the grocery store, and the off-leash dog park everyday. All are pretty close by. The paved walking path along the river is especially nice for an outing. The backyard is unique because the house is built on the side of a big hill. The yard is divided into a lower patio, then up a flight of stairs to the level of the second floor of the house is a second patio, then there is a steep hill with steps going up to the top of the lot where you can see out over the house and the neighborhood. This worked out OK for our dogs to go out to do their business, but it isn't a typical flat backyard where people and dogs and run and play. If you wonder if it will work for your needs I would recommend asking the owner for a picture of the yard since one isn't provided on the website. My only recommendation for the owner is to keep up with mowing the lawn, trimming the trees and bushes. It was a little overgrown when we arrived and gave a bad first impression. The lawn crew did mow and trim some bushes about half way through our stay. Overall we enjoy the house and the neighborhood and we would return.

A great time
There were 4 adults staying at the house and we had a great time. It was a great base of operations for day trips out of town and shopping/restaurants downtown. The house doesn't have central air, but the weather was mild enough in early June to sleep with the windows open in the guest bedroom. The house is fully equipped if you want to prepare meals versus eating out. The neighborhood is very convenient to everything.

Spring Vacation in Durango
The home was very comfortable and we really appreciated the pack and play. Thank you! The heated floors were great and even though we were within walking distance of downtown, nature was often to be seen at our front door. We saw both a deer and a bear on the property. The garden is delightful and it was truly a home away from home.

Reunion of college friends.
Had a great time meeting up with old friends and Holly's house was the perfect place to stay. The house has lots of room and was stocked with everything we needed. The patio off the kitchen was a wonderful area to hangout and one of the mornings two deer came walking by us. Would definitely stay there again when back in Durango.

Clean, comfortable, and close to everything
This home has lots of room. I was ecstatic when I realized the house had a playroom for my son. Yes, that means this house is really 3 bedrooms. I felt like the house had two backyards because of the multi level yard. The house has a open floor plan, and the bedrooms are roomy. The bathrooms even have heaters, so you will stay toasty during your morning shower. Plus, the linen closet is stocked with lots of towels and blankets. Let's talk about the location. The neighborhood is quiet, and only a couple blocks from the main road. We road bikes downtown every day. Durango has bike paths and bike lanes everywhere. The house even has bikes to use. Ps. I saw a deer just walking on the sidewalk one morning. As if he was out for his morning stroll to the cafe that is at the end of the street. Anyway, your going to love this place!

The Perfect Home for Gathering Family
The Garden Home was the perfect place for us to headquarter as the groom's family. It's close to town so that while some family members are running errands in vehicles, others can walk uptown to run others or have fun. The house itself was ideal - the patio off the kitchen is a lovely private area for barbecues and entertaining; the kitchen is large enough to accommodate more than one cook, and the bedrooms/bathrooms were large and comfortable. When we go back to Durango for other family occasions, we will definitely stay in Holly's house! Marsha Chambers

Home Away from Home
My husband, sister, brother in law & I came to Durango for 10 days. Garden Home is very clean, with many items included such as: toilet tissue, kleenix, shampoo, hair dryer, towels. Also kitchen w dishes, cooking items & spices for those who prefer dining in: altho, many good restaurants in town! 3 outside decks (including a tiki bar off kitchen) & a fenced yd for our dog. Even 2 bikes in garage! Did I mention house has solar? Andrea the property manager is there if u need her. (1 time we locked ourselves out & Andrea was there within 30 min)! Location ideal to walk to town & to Riverwalk. Close to mountains as well.! House is vintage, but has been nicely remodeled. Totally loved it & would definitely rent it again. VERY nice residential location! Karin, scottsdsle,az

Very comfortable home
Recently stayed at the Garden Home with my family and had a great experience. I can't remember when I've stayed at a more comfortable and welcoming home. The beds were very nice, kitchen was well equipped for making dinners and the living area had plenty of comfy seating. There was an attached garage which was a bonus for storing our bikes. The outdoor space was inviting but unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to take advantage of it. Andrea, the manager, was very helpful and responsive. We plan on staying again next trip.
