Amazing historical stay in Mexico. Great fit for our needs. The courtyard is beautiful and the restaurants/bar area were beautiful as well. I wish the breakfast spot was open longer hours. Great central stay for a wedding.

We had a great stay! The property was super clean and the staff incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect-within walking distance to the Cathedral and Plaza de Armas. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay at the Governador Hotel again.

Wonderful staff in a great location. If you have a rental car, the parking is easy. Plenty of parking throughout. We had dinner at the restaurant in the main lobby. The staff were wonderful and food was good. Only gave my review 4 stars because my room was outdated. The shower door would not close correctly and the mini split system was leaking water. Most likely I would not stay here again.

The good room was very clean, great location, helpful staff, hot water, great hotel restaurants - excellent food choices. The not so great, the rooms need some remodeling, the room safe is not even fastened, beds are double (they need queen size!), foldable cot is available but be prepared for a rough night. The grounds could use an army of landscapers. The room keys loose their memory daily.
