Charming Victorian hotel in heart of town. Walk to restaurants. 636 Main was very good. Train station Is right there.

Night and Day from the other historic hotel. Easy convenient parking, friendly staff fresh coffee and cookies in a beautiful 1898 hotel- what more could you ask for?? A comfortable bed and comfortable pillows?? Well they had that too. Centrally located on main easily walkable to all the best shopping and dining.

Everything was beautiful! We were originally going to stay at The Strater Hotel just down the street, but The General Palmer was half the price and just as nice. The Palmer does not have any restaurants, but there are so many options for dining in Durango that are walkable from The Palmer, it doesn't make a difference. The only complaint we had was we couldn't get the TV to work and they credited our amenities charge. Other than that, everything was perfect!
